@ChrisSpoke @HettrickMichael I don’t think your viewpoints are incongruent. You can (and as conservatives we should) work towards substantive reforms, but while doing so we should be cognizant of how it will impact the most immediate needs and concerns of real people on the ground
English

@FCDonaldson That wasn't the one with the time's up bell that everyone was mocking was it? Was that the Globe debate?
English

What the hell? June 27th?? Thank God our elections still generally stick to the writ period.
Kaitlan Collins@kaitlancollins
Trump confirms he will participate in CNN's debate on June 27. "The answer is yes, I will accept," Trump tells me.

@Ottawa_Steve Your inexperience driving is showing. It was also freezing rain over the last 48 hrs. Cleaning up the roads lets our buses and cars proceed safely, which protects drivers, passengers and pedestrians.
You’re a very privileged minority, my friend, as someone who can walk to work.
English

@FCDonaldson Nah, it's a fine take. If you're a danger to others in *a few cm* you're driving too fast, have no winter tires, or are just a bad driver. There's lots of ways to drive safe.
Wheelchairs can't climb a snow bank. Prioritizing cars over the disabled. What kind of take is that?
English

@Ottawa_Steve Because one mode of transport doesn’t endanger the lives of the commuter and others when travelling in snowy conditions. Bad take man.
English

@Ottawa_Steve The Liberals said Saskatchewan should have elected more LPC MPs if they wanted the same treatment, and it’s somehow the Premier whose acting in bad faith by pointing out how one sided this policy change is?
English

Saskatchewan, you guys have a batty Premier.
But, I'm not going to forget who causes responses like this: The federal Liberal govt. I mean, at this point it's like the Liberals are trying to sow division across the country, by playing pure politics with public policy.
Scott Moe@PremierScottMoe
Trudeau has provided a carbon tax exemption on home heating for families in one part of the country, but not here. It’s unfair, it’s unacceptable, and here’s what we’re going to do about it.
English

@Ottawa_Steve So, what would you like the City or the people of Ottawa to do?
English

@FCDonaldson The current culture can harm via pollution, unnecessary maintenance costs, road rage, underinvestment in alternate transit methods, low density planning among others. Can we address these currently? Sure. Are we? Maybe not to the extent we should.

@calgarygrit @CurseOfPolitics With the Mulroney implosion and Hazel being limited by mayor I think that list beats front runner Reid by a comfortable margin.
English

What a fun topic.
I've got to vote for team @_scottreid though the post-Mulroney implosion of PCs is a big knock. But Mulroney's raw skills are undeniable, and there's good depth on his team with Hazel and Rene.

@SpinelessL The nuts who follow Jones are here because they want to be invested in lies like the Jewish conspiracy because it excuses their own failure and limitations but their still Americans and some things like the righteous and sacrifice of WW2 are too deeply ingrained to be challenged
English

@SpinelessL You’d know it better but it seems like these cranks have a good fifth sense of where the fault lines in their conspiracy base are. Deny the existence of the world’s greatest crime, all good bro. Implying Hitler, OG enemy of the West is a good guy - too far!
English

@SpinelessL This whole episode shows how fake and manipulative these professional hate artists are. Alex Jones implies he believes all the things Kanye is saying today in order to build an audience of the unwell but he also knows better then to out right say it.
English

@SpinelessL When Alex Jones is the semi-voice of reason in the room…
English

@SpinelessL Now hold on a sec, we’re talking about Peter Thiel the genius talent evaluator who found the next big James Bond villain and then… convinced him to run for Arizona senate as a… viral ad campaign for the next movie, I guess?
What where we talking about again?
English

@robert_hiltz @stphnmaher Appreciate that, and am open to fact my own blinders may be leading me astray. I just find it hard to swallow that the party is permanently divided. That’s not my experience as a volunteer. Plus, it’s politics, nothing’s ever permanent!
English

@robert_hiltz @stphnmaher I’d attribute their departure more to the base’s visceral dislike of Trudeau and underestimating the ground work required to return to gov’t for Scheer, and flip flopping and poor caucus management post election for O’Toole.
English

@robert_hiltz @stphnmaher A growing trend in western democracies. The fact that those two leaders would have originated from opposite grandfather parties suggests that it’s not likely the non-existent PC/CA divide behind their equally speedy departures.
English

@stphnmaher @robert_hiltz It’s been twenty years and the Party is still standing, now with more members than any other Party in Canadian history. Almost half that time in gov’t. So “unstable” that it’s coalition has represented the plurality of total voters two elections in a row.
