The Crisis Response Battalion held a formal Change of Command ceremony at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, marking the transfer of authority from LTC Jeffery "Scott" Murray to LTC Michael Meaney. With CRB Soldiers in formation, the ceremony honored outgoing leadership and reinforced the battalion's continued commitment to mission readiness. Florida State Guard Soldiers from the Aviation Response Squadron, Maritime Response Squadron, and Special Missions Unit supported the Pasco County Sheriff's Office during the Chasco Fiesta Street Parade in New Port Richey, providing aerial surveillance, waterway safety, and physical security for one of Pasco County's largest annual events. UAS pilots delivered real-time overhead imagery to law enforcement partners, augmented by Special Missions Soldiers on the ground. Boat crews secured key waterway areas with vessel patrols on the Pithlachascotee River, maintaining a safety zone throughout the parade route.
