@RaffaeleGianni4 That is incorrect. Ukraine would still want to join EU and enter the western sphere of influence. That means Russia would still have taken Crimea, which is essential to them, and the conflict would begin. The west would still help Ukraine and so on.

I get a lot of sarcastic and angry comments that Putin is too weak to kill Zelensky, as US would do, or to strike EU. These people are coming from a Western perspective. Putin is coming from a Russian, Orthodox perspective. He's not weak. He's too mercyful. That's the difference.
