No winners from 3 mounts for P Val on his first day back @turf_paradise but thought he looked just fine. Positioned his mounts well, just didn’t have enough pony under him.

@kristinaataylor @CBredar I use to be a bettor, but the product is no longer competitive so the amount of money I bet is minuscule compared to 10 years ago.
English

@kristinaataylor @CBredar Bettors are people who wager on horse racing. They have a betting account and their main reason for watching is betting. Fans watch the sport and don’t wager. You don’t need to be a fan to bet. This is the problem. Horse Racing’s betting product won’t attract Bettors. 1/2

@TheMichelleYu @KennyMcPeek ??. This makes no sense. The illegal betting shop could open 1 legal account and show all the races anyway. They aren’t free on YouTube because Robert Communications won’t allow it.
English

@KennyMcPeek Problem is that feed gets used for illegal betting spots with no money going back to the horseman or hosts.
English

Correct. YouTube should be automatic for every racecourse
NJ@jay_jay_son
@amykspear @KennyMcPeek It’s easier than that. Open all track signals to youtube for free viewing. Amazing how most tracks / racing execs are so stupid to don’t promote their product and made it available to the public. Tracks make money from the wagering, not broadcasting.

@52ShadesOfHay @DCHI23 Fans don’t create revenue. Bettors create revenue

@GateToWire @DCHI23 Spot on. I mean, can we off the trail to the Derby before we hop on the trail to the BC???
Are there any stats on fan retention?
English

@DCHI23 @GateToWire $1 million Kentucky Oaks prep at Oaklawn only has a five horse field

@paulickreport @FanDuel_Racing No different than every other Betting company. Bought TVG to get a TV Network now they don’t need horse racing. Reminds me of Calder, Arlington etc. Gambling companies don’t want horse racing. The same thing is eventually going to happen at Gulfstream and Santa Anita too
English

@FanDuel_Racing will continue to show races on cable, streaming platforms, and wagering apps, but a reduction of in-studio production and on-air hosts will begin in July.

@Domsavides @RepoleStable This no different than other gaming companies involved in horse racing. Fan Duel was looking for a TV platform, got it and now does not care about horse racing. Just like closing Arlington, Calder etc
Gulfstream and Santa Anita will eventually succumb too
English

When is the point of no return ? Or is this like Starbucks downsizing ? Or is this like toys r us and bed bath and beyond downsizing @RepoleStable … we may not know until it’s too late.
