No winners from 3 mounts for P Val on his first day back @turf_paradise but thought he looked just fine. Positioned his mounts well, just didn’t have enough pony under him.

🚨 Governor Katie Hobbs has a decision to make. SB 1010 is on her desk to designate the Loop 202 as the Charlie Kirk Loop 202 — honoring an Arizonan who inspired young people to engage in elections, defend free speech, and speak out for American values. Arizona has always honored impact… not political stance. Congressman Ed Pastor, a Democrat, has a freeway named in his honor as a tribute to his legacy. 🎥As @votewarren emphasizes, this is how Arizona operates — recognizing meaningful civic contributions from all sides through our public landmarks.

Get used to the name Boyd Racing. Randy and Jenny Boyd of Knoxville paid $2 million for a Nyquist filly at OBS on Wednesday. In this article on DRF.com, Randy Boyd discusses the couple's approach to racing - drf.com/news/boyds-str…

@sportsbooktom Greatest game in the world. Used to be better, and easier, though. (Classic Empire prior to his close second in the Preakness. Runhappy morning after King’s Bishop win).

Having massive mesquite trees shading your backyard is great except for twice a year. Today is one of those days. The amount of annoying little leaves that have fallen in the last 12 hours is insane.

@DRFLivingston Amazing horse for the late Richard Dutrow Sr., who claimed him. John Henry-esque, except on dirt at Aqueduct.

@CATRacingStable Home Run is good but not great. We recently were sent a gift from Lou Malnatis - two thin, one deep dish - via Goldbelly. The deep dish was off the charts good. Brought back memories of going to Pizzeria Due.

@Tinky47flat Laurel also sits on low-lying land in a boggy area so it would be tricky to use the infield.

‡ Preakness attendance at Laurel limited to 4,800 I know, apples and oranges, but I was at the "Miracle Million" at Arlington Park, held on August 25, 1985, just 25 days after a devastating fire destroyed the grandstand, and it drew an estimated crowd of 35,000!

Attendance at this year’s Preakness Stakes on May 16 at its temporary home of Laurel Park in Maryland will be limited to 4,800 people. Here, @DRFHegarty explains why. drf.com/news/preakness…

@Tinky47flat Laurel isn’t set up for this. The stadium seats in its large, tiered, glassed-in grandstand were removed many years ago, so that area isn’t usable. The track apron is tight to the track so there isn’t a lot of room. There are nice comfy areas in the facility but they are small.

Sad news from California - John Shirreffs, who trained the incredibly popular mare Zenyatta and won the 2005 Kentucky Derby with Giamoco - died in his sleep on Thursday, his friends and family said. A report will appear on DRF.com later this afternoon. #drf

@TucsonTomorrow My impression is that for the national media AZ is really only relevant as a battleground state. And even then, you only hear about Phoenix or Maricopa. Tucson might as well be Jupiter to these folks. I’ve worked in national newsrooms my whole career, we’re invisible here lol.

The nationwide coverage and conversations about Nancy’s abduction has shown how little people understand the Catalina Foothill’s neighborhoods, communities, and...reality. The descriptions and dialog around it is sometimes so off it’s comical.
