This line of reasoning is so morally repulsive.
Even if this wasn't a completely invented history of Palestine obviously ripped off Jewish history, it doesn't justify October 7. That was barbaric slaughter. There is no excuse for purposefully targeting civilians. There is no excuse for rape. There is no excuse for kidnapping children and returning them home in coffins after a celebratory parade. Especially by reference to history so old that everyone present is now dead, and all that remains is the theocratic resentment and entitlement of generations of children raised on the idea that they have the right to invade a sovereign country and slaughter or rape any man, woman, or child they find there, because doing so is "resistance."
Justifying October 7 in any way, by inventing history or pointing to real history, not only makes the person doing so a monster, it makes them dumb. October 7 was a bacchanal of pure human evil. It accomplished nothing for Palestine. It, in fact, made the people of Palestine much worse off.
Justifying October 7, or contextualizing it to implicitly do so, is just the ultimate form of colonial voyeurism. It doesn't help Israelis or Palestinians. It doesn't create peace. It creates a permission structure for a new massacre and then another war. If the goal is enjoying the slaughter, and feeling morally righteous, then bravo, that is all you've accomplished.

I’ve just watched Palestine 36: So many people need a history lesson. October 7th wasn’t the start. It goes back a long long way. Imagine being a citizen to a place that lost status, sovereignty, human rights, freedom and land. And then for decades got hemmed in, encroached, destroyed and an appropriation of the land unchecked. Destinies of people who have lived there for generations completely torn up. Grief turns into rage. It would anywhere. But apparently it’s “antisemitic” to raise any concerns about this.

🚨 REPORT | Israel has launched over 1,000 airstrikes on Gaza in the 167 days since the “ceasefire” was signed last October.
And less than 25% of the minimum required aid has entered Gaza in the past week.
The Palestinian resistance documented 2,166 violations of the ceasefire since it began in October, averaging 13 violations per day, including widespread live fire, artillery, and aerial attacks across the Strip.
📌 A document obtained by Drop Site, and shared with mediators, shows the following:
▪️ On the ground:
• 1,014 airstrikes and shelling incidents recorded
• 799 live fire incidents
• Repeated strikes across Rafah, Gaza City, and northern Gaza
• Children wounded in drone fire in multiple areas
▪️ Casualties:
• 692 killed
• 1,895 wounded
• 44.2% of those killed are children, women, and elderly
• 54.3% of the wounded are vulnerable civilians
▪️ Aid blockade:
• Only ~40% of agreed aid allowed in
• Fuel deliveries at just 14.8%
• 993 trucks entered this week vs. 4,200 scheduled (23.6%)
▪️ Rafah crossing:
• Only 2,134 of 8,600 planned civilian crossings carried out (24.8%)
• Medical evacuations and humanitarian cases severely restricted
The report also cites continued obstruction of infrastructure repairs, denial of heavy equipment entry, and ongoing torture and abuse of detainees, pointing to a systematic erosion of the ceasefire and worsening humanitarian conditions across Gaza.

Let’s break down what Mamdani did yesterday.
Zohran Mamdani had to delete his first post yesterday which originally described someone “attempting to blow up” Nerdeen Kiswani’s house—pure anger-stoking rhetoric.
Then, he still deliberately chose to spell out “Jewish Defense League” (not just the commonly abbreviated term JDL, like his post about the ISIS-inspired terrorists).
He had to shove “Jewish” front and center at the top of the post.
He wrote about fighting against political violence while ignoring Kiswani’s repeated calls for “resistance by any means necessary.”
The “flee to Israel” detail? Completely unnecessary. Kiswani loved it, and retweeted it enthusiastically.
Deliberate fuel on the fire. He knows what he’s doing.
He’s pretending to speak against political violence while inciting it.
