Another update to my Dungeons and Dragons serial. Shorter than my last one, as I work on trying to improve my posting schedule. Pretty standard fantasy this time, less horror elements. archiveofourown.org/works/42024186…

Good way to miss the moment here. Alberta seccession is not the moment for settling scores.

MP @MichelleRempel on Ottawa's treatment of Alberta: "The Liberals have treated my province for a decade like an afterthought." "Mark Carney can't just wag his finger. He has to... tell Albertans when [he will build] pipelines [and] repeal bills preventing investment."

Deport everyone who helped do this to Ellesmere Island if they're citizens or back to their home countries if they're duals or non citizens. Enough of it. Start defending Canadian interests instead of radical diaspora interests for fuck sake

@Brian_Dell @ElliotMalin There is exactly one date in that sentence. Yes, you did imply it occured in 1967. Maybe break your ideas up better? "I expressed myself poorly," is also something you could say, instead of doubling down.

@PrairieCatboy @ElliotMalin “never” applies to the entire time period between 1967 & now. I said Sadat’s offer occurred during this time & did not imply ‘67 was any more likely than any other year. That it was same year as the invasion is just a conclusion you drew that didn’t follow from what I said.

Most of the Palestinian deaths recorded on the first day happened INSIDE OF ISRAEL. 5,000 Palestinians from Gaza were killed INSIDE OF ISRAEL. The protests started on that day when Israel was still trying to repel and take back its own territory. @_ZachFoster is intentionally misleading people, again.
Zachary Foster@_ZachFoster

One of the weirdest lies spread by the genocide lobby is that "people started protesting before Israel even responded." By 6pm on October 7th, 2023, Israel has already kill at least 198 Palestinians & injured 1,610 in Gaza, and Israeli forces had killed many dozens, perhaps many hundreds of the Israelis & internationals killed on Oct. 7. ochaopt.org/content/escala… By October 13, 2023, Israel has killed 1,900 Palestinians and injured 7,969. ochaopt.org/content/hostil… Moreover, genocidal mania was already widespread by Oct. 13. x.com/_ZachFoster/st…

@PrairieCatboy @ElliotMalin Sadat made the offer in 1978. Israel refused to let it go likely on suspicion Sadat would indeed allow Gaza too much independence.

@Glp1Pic I think I understood about half of that without the translate function. 😅 But merci beaucoup, I appreciate it. I'll...try to use some French words when I reply.

Not for nothing but I learned more French playing Claire Obscura than I did from half a decade of French lessons.

Khalil, what purpose does it serve to provide only a partial quote from Herzog, leaving out the following sentence about how civilians must be protected? You have an argument to make regardless, re: IDF conduct. So let people make up their minds instead of driving them to it.
Khalil Sayegh@KhalilJeries

I apologize; I confused one genocidal Israeli leader for another. It was Gallant, not Herzog, who said, "We are fighting human animals." Herzog, however, stated, "It is an entire nation out there that is responsible." He is essentially calling for the genocide of all Palestinians. Pro-Israel propagandists have no shame or integrity.

@SpaceWalkerReal It's a pretty esoteric angle they're taking too. The gov't lost this case and are appealing the decision. They're conflating a demand the gov't should be using different legal defenses with saying this is what the gov't wanted to happen. Pretty inside baseball.

Honestly, it does get tiring to see Pierre Poilievre's Conservative Party always sticking their noses in provincial political issues that the Federal government has no jurisdiction over, and then blaming the Liberals for it. Like, bro. Lmfao.
Pierre Poilievre@PierrePoilievre

Liberals told federal lawyers not to defend the property rights of people in BC. Without property rights, there are no economic rights. Today, Conservatives are forcing a vote to protect your home and your property. Join our fight: conservative.ca/cpc/protect-pr…

It's entirely correct and reasonable to address serious Albertan grievances seriously. It is entirely fallacious to pretend that separatism represents a serious answer to any of those grievances.

@Brian_Dell @ElliotMalin Wait, what? Sadat didn't make any offer about Gaza in 1967. He was overwhelmingly concerned about an independent Palestine and recovering the Sinai, not extending Egyptian sovereignty to the Strip.

@ElliotMalin So u admit Gaza is not Israel's territory. This raises the question of why Israel invaded Gaza in the first place back in 1967 & never let it go even when Sadat offered to take responsibility for Gaza no strings attached. Also, IDF said 1609 Hamas militants were killed Oct 7.
