Don't be overzealous in defense of Jews and Israel. Not every criticism is an attack. People are allowed not to care or ask hard questions. Learn to separate enemies from skeptics. Yelling at everyone who doesn't 100% agree with you alienates people. Hysterics never help.

Last night, queer French Jewish musician Barbara Butch was set to perform at the Cabaret Frappé festival in Grenoble, France 🇫🇷 But when she took the stage, 200 Free Palestine activists began hurling insults and bottles at her. They objected to her participation in an event in Tel Aviv in 2025. They also didn’t like how she voiced her support for a law that would outlaw calling for the destruction of countries, support for terror, and Holocaust distortion. The bill didn’t even pass. But that didn’t matter to the mob that harassed her until she was forced to leave the stage, during her performance of the song “Imagine.” You know, if you strenuously oppose a bill that would protect Jews from modern forms of antisemitism, then violently harass Jewish musicians into silence, it kind of seems like you just want free rein to be an antisemite.

Haven't seen a single post from Democratic politicians down south coming to the defence of Canada. Not even while we're currently in their states fighting their fires. Pathetic.

Also we should have ordered like a gazillion water bombers to patrol the skies of an area stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Because they could easily smother 800 concurrent wild fires. Dunno how we missed that. And we should have done massive controlled burns where there are no roads over an area that is roughly the size of Europe.

The USA struck a great deal with respect to the Gordie Howe Bridge. Before this deal we got NOTHING. Now, the U.S. gets 50% of net revenues until 2041 and a say in setting the tolls. Our share is before interest and principal. This is the Art of the Deal in action.

fucking hell. I was dismissive of the idea that Dem antisemitism had that much of an impact on the party's current financial woes. I mean, Jews are 2% of the population, how much can they donate. And then I actually googled it. (the GOP part is as much of a mind-fuck, tbh)

The long Democratic story since 2016 is the party leadership getting weaker and less popular as Sanders and his movement get (among Dems) more popular. The most successful period for the anti-left faction (AIPAC, DMFI, etc) was 2021-2023, when Biden had won and was doing a lot of stuff that the left liked and Bernie supported. So the anti-left faction could beat Nina Turner with ads about her trashing Biden in 2020, beat Aaron Regunberg with a candidate who highlighted all his work for Biden, etc. The 2024 election discredited the anti-left faction - they fumbled the ball against Trump again - and no one in that faction is as strong, popular, or good at building crowds as Sanders. Add to this that Obama *could* be but doesn't want to engage in primaries, and that a lot of NY Dems specifically wrecked their credibility by endorsing Cuomo in 2025. They look like retread losers who should just let Sanders et al run the ball.

Seeing long term friends calling you “a baby killer” or “genocide supporter” just because you are Jewish makes you realise how easily the Holocaust was allowed to happen. The question is have they always been secretly antisemitic and this is the excuse they have been waiting for?
