A couple of bargain Saturn pick-ups: F1 Challenge 🏎️ & Pebble Beach Golf🏌️‍♂️ £18 for the two, and both in nice condition and complete! 🙌 And they say Saturn collecting is expensive 🤷‍♂️

@Gaming_For_Ages Yeah they’re pretty common! I was mainly after F1 Challenge, which is a really fun arcadey racer if you haven’t tried it! Pebble Beach just came along for the ride really, but still a decent golf sim for the time!

@ellis_wooo FIFA has just become all a bit much. So many modes and options fighting for space, and the bit they want you to play the most is Ultimate Team, which I have no interest in! Sadly Konami tried to turn Pro Evo into a similar e-sport money spinner and it’s just not worked 🤷‍♂️

@GregMathews1 What they done to Pro Evolution is a tragedy mate. I've not got my old consoles but I do still have '21 I think on Xbox downloaded. It's not the classics but its still miles better than FIFA.

@CABBAC @Retroid0fficial Not tested Saturn yet but it should play without any bother! 👍 Picked up a Retroid Pocket Classic 6 last year and turned it into a dedicated portable Sega. Much lower power than the new device and runs Saturn really well! 🪐

@RetroJeff83 @MoonPieDreams Yeah it’s more like 20, but you’re right the feel is so spot on you can forgive its flaws! CCE hits a pretty stable 30 with a much better draw distance, but that handling just ain’t Daytona! There’s a perfect Saturn Daytona in the middle there somewhere that we never got😫

I don’t really engage in console warring on here, but sometimes a take is so sh💩tty you just have to call it out 😂. Sega made fantastic consoles and made/makes incredible games. Nintendo made/makes fantastic consoles and incredible games. Any questions? No? Great! 👍

For younger readers: At the time, SEGA was destroyed by Nintendo in Japan. In the US and Europe, SEGA didn't have the same great games as Nintendo, so everything was about attitude and marketing. I still remember my school yard. Literally not a single soul played SEGA because of good games. It was always "Sonic is cooler than Mario", "Sonic is faster than Mario", "Mario is for babies" etc. That's why I didn't exactly cry when SEGA exited the hardware business 25 years ago. They deserved it. They day they couldn't live on edgy attitude anymore, that day they were no longer relevant.

It's kind of hilarious how triggered this guy was over this ad 🤣 Fun fact: the last Nintendo console released when Sega were making hardware was defeated by the Saturn in Japan. Side note: never be glad when competitors leave the market, the world will be poorer for it.

@swooper_d I love Lemmings! I recently picked up the Game Gear port, which is fantastic, and 3D Lemmings on the Saturn, which is isn’t amazing but an interesting take on the formula!
