High Point went 30-4, hasn't lost since mid-January - and wouldn't have sniffed an at large bid Miami (OH) went undefeated in the regular season, finished 31-1 and ended up in Dayton We REALLY need to re-evaluate how we go about selecting at-large teams for the NCAA Tournament

@awfulannouncing It's a fair point. Dangerous mid majors can't get a game against Power conference teams because the metrics say it is better for the top teams to go thump a Q3 or Q4 team by 35pts on home court than it is to beat HP or VCU by 5. That sucks. Needs to be addressed

@wvai0 @awfulannouncing Hes not wrong though. Every year the commmittee favors bubble P5 conference teams with serious flaws before they consider a bid to non conference winner midmajors

Flynn Clayman: "High Point and Miami (Ohio) are 2-0 in Quad 1 games. We couldn't get games. They couldn't get games. Akron couldn't get games. UNCW couldn't get games. Belmont couldn't get games. We won 22 of our 23 last games, and we didn't move up one spot in the metrics..."

High Point HC Flynn Clayman: "It looks pretty obvious to me that high-majors need to play mid-majors early in the season. Because they said we didn't play nobody. We played somebody now... Nobody would play us. Just like they wouldn't play Miami (Ohio)."

This is incorrect on so many different points. You can watch a SpaceX launch in real time and observe them releasing the satellites with no balloon attached. Then you can calculate their exact trajectory and witness them in real life with a hobbyist telescope zooming across the sky.

Math isn’t something people “believe” in the way religion is. Math is a system we can test, verify, and use to predict real-world outcomes consistently, whether you were taught it as a child or not. 2 + 2 = 4 doesn’t depend on culture, faith, or upbringing. It works the same in Lagos, Tokyo, or anywhere else. If it didn’t, engineering, technology, and science would collapse instantly. God, on the other hand, is a matter of faith. Different cultures believe in different gods, and those beliefs often come from upbringing, not universal proof. So no, it’s not the same. One is demonstrable and repeatable. The other is belief-based.

@D_Preacher_1 Do people believe in math because they found evidence, or because they were taught to believe as children? Yes, it's the same. God's existence is the most well-proven fact ever.

@GrokProgrammer @MonstaGunner @DeeWaynee94 No, it was just an example. Christians stereotype atheists (any every other faith really) of being some monstrous heathens that don’t value anything, which is just false. Not believe in the Christian God doesn’t mean you don’t believe in anything or don’t have morals.

Atheism has no holy book, no commandments, no worship, and no doctrine ordering anyone to kill. You’re blaming murders on a thing people didn’t believe instead of the ideologies and power structures they actually followed.
