A friend wrote to me: A lot can happen in six months, but if current sentiment and voting power patterns hold, I noticed an additional fun twist that’s shaping up. The “alchemy” of gerrymandering conjures congressional seats for the map drawer by relocating votes from your landslide districts to close districts. If, say, you are up 15-points in one district and are down 5 points in a neighboring district, reallocating 10 of your majority-district points into the down-5-point district gets you two seats with seemingly-safe 5-point majorities instead of one. HOWEVER, if there’s a 6-point shift against you, you’re now going to lose both seats by one point! In places like Texas, the Republicans thinned their margins to try to pick up seats, often with the assumption that the 8-10 point jump from 2020 to 2024 in Latinos voting for Trump was permanent. But Trump’s tariffs, demonization of all immigrants, unleashing violent (in some cases, murderous) masked goons, etc. has turned a large swath of Latinos against him (see below). So, if the electoral swing is really big, the new math could turn that into a landslide catastrophe for them. (Obviously, the same could go for Democrats where they have gerrymander power, but in the current environment, virtually zero Democratic-held seats look vulnerable.) It doesn’t mean gerrymandering is a bad strategy; in a normal environment, it can be quite powerful. But this year it may be about to backfire on a monumental scale for Republicans. ------------------- Claude’s reply to “Have Latino voters turned against Trump?”: The short answer is yes, substantially so — though with some nuance worth unpacking. The 2024 baseline:Trump's support among Hispanic voters increased by more than 10 points from 2020 to 2024, with Latino men under 40 shifting especially right. His support among Hispanic voters rose to 43% in 2024 — an 8-point increase from 2020 and the highest level for a Republican presidential candidate on record. The reversal: The shift back has been sharp and fairly consistent across pollsters. In March 2026, The Economist reported that Trump's support among Latinos had fallen to 22%. A separate poll showed Trump's net approval rating among Latino voters dropped from -11 points in February 2025 to -23 points by September 2025. Why it's happening:The driving force is overwhelmingly economic. Trump's worst approval rating with Latinos is on cost of living — 23% approve, 73% disapprove. A majority of Latinos now believe he is more focused on going after hardworking immigrants and picking fights with colleges and foreign countries than on lowering the cost of living. Immigration enforcement also plays a major role: voters who are disappointed in Trump or regret voting for him most often cite his emphasis on mass deportations and lack of action on the economy, with one summarizing: "He did not do what he promised, like take out real criminals and not working families." The "Biden defectors" — the key swing group: Latinos who supported Biden in 2020 and then Trump in 2024 were a crucial addition to his coalition. Today, 51% of that group disapproves of his performance. Many had assumed his deportation rhetoric was bluster targeting criminals, not working families — and feel burned. Real-world electoral evidence:In December 2025, the first Democrat was elected mayor of Miami since 1997 with Latino support. A Democrat won a heavily Republican Texas state legislative district in February 2026 with an estimated 79% of the Latino vote. The caveat: The backlash doesn't automatically translate to Democratic gains. A right-leaning analyst summed it up: "The Democrats haven't really lost Latino voters, but they're not winning them back. We're at this inflection point — they're waiting for somebody to win them over with something positive." And 78% of 2024 Latino Trump voters say they would still vote for him again if given the choice — suggesting soft dissatisfaction rather than hard defection for many. The 2026 midterms could be significantly shaped by this. There are 46 House districts where the number of registered Latino voters exceeds the margin of victory from 2024, with 23 currently held by Republicans. 📷

@realDailyWire GDP in 2025 grew at just 2.1%, down from 2.8% in 2024 and 2.9% in 2023. Trump's first year as president had lower GDP growth than the lowest year of Biden's term. Plus, debt is now growing faster under Trump than it did under Biden. Consumer prices will soon explode. Stagflation.

You DON'T need to be "early" to make stupid returns in this market. $AEHR is up 90% in 5 days... I posted 4 days ago. Way later than other accts. But I'm still up 70% since I started a pos 🤣 The story was obviously still mispriced and I explained why in < 280 characters.

Asymmetry in $AEHR explained. Their CEO said the AI chip testing market is 3-5x larger than it was for SiC (EV chips). The market realizes this (+100% YTD). But you can still buy the business today for a lower MC than when it peaked on EV hype in 2023.

How do we know if there has been regime change in Iran? If the survivors who negotiate in Pakistan sing the same “we can keep/enrich uranium” tune as their predecessors, it’s not regime change. If they say they control Hormuz, it’s not regime change. If it’s the same as before, this isn’t over.

The worst experience with @Allegiant this morning. Drove 2 hours to catch a 7AM flight to Maine. Get to airport on time. Checked in through app, and get to TSA. On line for nearly an hour when officer tells us the scanner broke— slowing to a crawl. Miss my flight. Ticket counter tells me there’s nothing they’ll do except “allow me” to buy a full price ticket for a flight tomorrow. Eat shit. Fuck you. Now in Uber to Orlando to fly with another airline to Maine. it’s 730A and I need a cocktail.

After 11 years, you would think people would understand how Trump operates. Yes, it was blunt and to our American ears, over the top. It's Trump's crude way of speaking. But it was also fluent Farsi. It's the one language the Iranian leaders understand. It's the language of the Middle East. Trump wasn't speaking to us, he was speaking to Iran. Twenty-four hours before he said it, the Iranians opposed a cease fire. After he said it, they were for a ceasefire. Btw, for 47 years we heard them chant "Death to America." Where were you then?

While everyone has moved on, I remain deeply troubled by Trumps threat to wipe out an entire civilization. No American president has talked in such terms. No American president ever should.

The President’s threat that “a whole civilization will die tonight” cannot be excused away as an attempt to gain leverage in negotiations with Iran. This type of rhetoric is an affront to the ideals our nation has sought to uphold and promote around the world for nearly 250 years. It undermines our long-standing role as a global beacon of freedom and directly endangers Americans both abroad and at home. The oppressive, terror-spreading regime of the Islamic Republic must be distinguished from the people and the civilization of Iran. Everyone involved—especially the President and Iran’s leaders—must de-escalate their unprecedented saber-rattling before it is too late.

Dexter Lawrence has two years remaining on his deal and is currently scheduled to make $20 million this upcoming season. Initially there had been optimism that with changes in the organization, discussions could move forward. But now that they haven’t, new Giants head coach John Harbaugh will open his team’s off-season program Tuesday without one of his best players.

My legals are reaching a crescendo!! You would not believe what a corrupt old boy's club the legal profession is in Ireland. As a debutante dealing with our legal system, I expected integrity. In the same way that I expected it from golf's governing org. How naive was I!! BUT, I am fighter with the money to fight. So, they are learning that their corruption doesn’t necessarily win. Their biggest problem is that a win for me is destroying them publicly, not collecting money off them! So, that's something they're not used to dealing with!! #RIGHTISMIGHT
