Friendly reminder that my friends and I really enjoyed the spaceship roleplay experience at the Christa McAuliffe Space Center. We each learned a specialized role, solved a mystery, it had live actors and was like $15 per person

@geerlingguy @bretweber So far, I have bought at least one of every version of every model of plain board Pi (except the compute modules). The 400 is another exception I just couldn't justify to myself (despite wanting one purely for "the collection"). A revised Pi500 with built in NVME drive. . . hmm?

@bretweber I wish. Just a hope. Talking to various Pi employees... it seems almost every person there loves the Pi 400 more than most other products—but getting them to all agree on what to improve might be hard. My wishlist: NVMe 2280 internally, nicer keyboard (mechanical?).

@ChrisBarnatt I've been looking forward to this and just happen to have a new Pi5 (8GB) arriving today. Along with the @pimoroni Duo NVME HAT/Base I could be busy today. Really glad I took an extra day as leave now!

@kevsmac Pedant alert - Raspberry Pi Zero is NOT a microcontroller (it's a SBC). 😊 I don't whether "a" or "an" should be used before SBC 😉

@recantha Try again tonight from around 22:30. Avoid light pollution as much as you can. Give your eyes at least 10 minutes to adjust to the darkness. Set your camera to a high exposure (3-5s?) and keep it steady. Good luck!

Some peoples attitude to work is perfectly exemplified here.... sad and somewhat depressing. "Extra mile mate - nah not even a foot" What happened to - "no problem it will only take a minute or two and all the gear is here!"

@kevsmac That's just the sort of thing I intent to do. I've got so many little projects that are just screaming out to be tied together. I just never seem to find the time to join these particular dots.

@HOD It’s easy to setup and life changing for simple home automation. My bathroom fan and heated mirror can we switched on and off from MQTT as they are powered via some Sonoff devices running some quite old code. The weather station also used this to send data to nodered.
