I just got asked this question and I didn’t know the answer right away but when I looked into it, it surprised me. I was asked “what is your YTD performance” and because I use HL it isn’t immediately available, only total return. Luckily I’ve screenshotted a lot over the years so I can track it myself. Image on the left June 2025. Image on the right June 2026. £31k (22%) year to date. A number of “crashes” during that same period. Stick with it.

@HarryUKISA If you plan flip or to sell in the next few years you’re probably not going to like the outcome. If you’re investing some of your SIPP that you can’t touch for at least ten years then you will be happy. It’s all a matter of perspective of time. 😀👍

Still dropping but nothing to drastic so far. I expect another £1k damage today by the time everything is posted across the various funds I hold.

@skinttorich I’m talking like £25, £50, £100 buys. I think it’s a £7 fee for a single trade on stocks and then £2 on funds which means you’ve got to keep it high to reduce the impact on the trade.

@skinttorich Yeah the fees make it basically impossible to do small trades, best way around it is through direct debits, so regular investing

@skinttorich For me it was just the platform I went with when I first started and have stuck with it. Had very little awareness of trading T212 even existing 6 years ago. Some of the features that I see on here that I’m missing out on make me question it 😂
