As someone that creates investing content, I’m always keen to try new platforms. I think I have an account on pretty much every single major UK broker. But one I haven’t tried - Robinhood UK. Is it any good? And who has a referral link? 🙂

@fynnvestor Think you do a manual job so you don’t need gym but gym subscription is an essential direct debit for me

How much are you wasting monthly that you could be investing for your future? My only direct debits are life and car insurance. You should review your direct debits and subscriptions to see how much you’re spending that isn’t gaining you anything. Your money can be growing your future. Start investing, you’ll thank yourself later.

@makingmsimple I have done this as of last year as when I ran the figures the property was £750 more per month to own versus rent and it would have been at least that for 2-5 years even after 2-5 years when a bit of capital was paid off it probably would still be more per month

The big problem with paying a mortgage vs paying rent, is that the majority never use the ‘renting delta’ to actually invest. This person did. And it paid off massively 👏 I’ve been doing the exact same since 2019. Up to £195k invested 💪

She decided to rent instead of buying a home and invested the money she would’ve spent on a house into the stock market instead. Her portfolio is now approaching $1 million

Stumbled across this portfolio The individual is 18. He has £7,000 saved which at that age, is an incredible achievement. His parents set up a child trust fund, so when he matures (18 years old) the money is his. His 18th birthday arrived today, and he now has just under £40,000. He doesn’t know it yet, but his parents have set him up for generational wealth. What are you doing for your children?

Another good habit I am starting: I play the Euro Millions lottery twice a week (£5 for 2 lines twice a week) - £10 a week From now on, Every time I deposit to put the lottery on, I will be matching the £5 deposit into my S&S ISA. This will then be invested into $WINC, which will provide me quarterly dividends at a nearly 10% yield. Again, not the biggest amount of cash injection but will add up over time and so will the dividends.

GM ☕🇬🇧 Next Year ISA funds just ticked over £3k. £375 in → £3,016.14 (+£189.46 / +6.70%). £189 in Unrealised profits, savings account would’ve given me about a tenner by now. Compounding doesn't care how exciting your method is. $VUAG

S&P 500 parking pot update. Fired another £375 in this morning. Pot now sits at £2,594.54 (+£142.86 / +5.83%). Switching from monthly lump deposits to smaller weekly ones. Easier on cash flow, built-in DCA, same destination. Discipline > perfection. Keep stacking. $VUAG

29 year old, lives at home and has a second hand car with 90,000 miles. Portfolio worth £108,800 with $RKLB $MU as the two main holdings. $SATS, $CBTC and $BMNR for crypto exposure. Is this individual: A) ahead at 29 in relation to portfolio balance? B) Taking too much risk?
