Well first day of 1 gig Broadband from @virginmedia is going GREAT! Hasn’t gone above 200 all day. I had better speed yesterday on a 200 mb plan. They say it can drop to 525mb. Just over 50%. Can you imagine if my customers paid me in full & I gave them 50% of the job? #Joke

How Disgusting is this from DHL Delivery driver! My 2 year old son was on the grass. No door bell rang and threw parcels over weighing around 5kg each 1st one scattered everywhere second one hit my dog on the head. Recons pete signed and even took a photo at end. @dhlexpressuk

@BoilerfitNW @IanPlumbing @paulob19 @Damon_BPH That’s the commercial 200 btw, so make sure your ticket applies. Those gauges are not a great design and will block and you can’t see pressure on the system.

I have been forced to go on a smart meter by @octopusenergy to get a certain tariff as we have a hybrid car. We get the smart meters fitted and a snazzy “IHD” which doesn’t work and we have been told as it’s a complicated tariff it may not work and we can’t track our costs 🤷🏼‍♂️

@g__j @OctopusEnergy Many thanks for the response! I have learnt quickly that these aren’t what they are cracked up to be. I shall bin that off and get the app and third party app. I was only curious to see how much it costs to charge the car 🤣

@Heatspec @OctopusEnergy IHDs are deffo not snazzy - the spec is ancient - and they can be flaky, but the tariff will usually be absolutely fine, and you can see your usage in our app. DM me your deets and I'll see if the IHD can be fixed remotely or need an engineer.

@Heatspec @OctopusEnergy In any case the online account gives you information every day, and there are a bunch of apps that tie into the Octopus API. I really like ‘Octopus Watch’ from @SmarthoundUK

@OctopusEnergy Why were we told that that’s the best way of monitoring then? Why issue them if they don’t work?

@Heatspec Your IHD is just a little display screen for your meter that wasn't designed to display more complex tariff data – your smart meter itself will be working fine and you can monitor your readings and energy use easily via your online account on your computer or smart phone instead.

@OctopusEnergy Yeah we were told we had to have that tariff to benefit for night time charge rate and the benefit of having a smart meter was to have accurate readings of what we have used, now we are told no they don’t work and don’t expect that IHD to work with your tariff 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Heatspec Hi there, that's odd - it's true that our EV charging tariff requires a smart meter to bill correctly on the cheap night rate, but we'd never force you to choose this tariff. Beta tariffs won't display perfectly on an IHD 1/2
