There’s a trend in this generation where people learn therapy language, communication framework and emotional vocabulary not for growth, to be better or to heal but to avoid accountability and control the narrative in disagreement. It’s so funny when I hear them.

INVESTIGATION: Repackaged expired products dominate Nigeria's N34trn food market Food items meant to be sold in sealed packs are now being scooped from buckets and sacks in many Lagos markets. A BusinessDay investigation found that some of these products originate from expired, near-expiry, or rejected factory stocks, stripped of their labels and resold cheaply to consumers. This billion-naira underground trade continues to thrive across Nigerian markets, raising concerns about food safety and public health. Full report: businessday.ng/investigation/…

Nigeria Is Bleeding From Within It is deeply troubling to read recent World Bank reports indicating that, while Nigeria’s Federation Revenue surged to ₦84 trillion in just three years, a staggering 41% —amounting to ₦34.44 trillion —never reached the Federation Account. This sum exceeds the combined ₦34 trillion earmarked for capital projects in the 2024 and 2025 Appropriation Bills, a comparison that underscores the gravity of the situation and signals that something is fundamentally wrong. This is not a mere oversight; it points to institutionalised corruption on a massive scale. In 1994, when the Okigbo Panel reported about $12.4 billion from the Gulf War oil windfall as unaccounted for, Nigerians were outraged and the nation shook with indignation. Today, an even more troubling situation appears to be unfolding, yet it is met with a disquietening silence. We are trapped in a lethal paradox: Earning more as a nation, yet having less to invest in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. From 2025, systemic “deductions” have allowed agencies to capture more resources than entire states and even critical ministries. These leakages explain why countries with fewer resources are out-performing us across key development indices. With such a broken system, how can we fix power, strengthen our schools, build resilient healthcare, or develop critical infrastructure? Nigeria has no business being poor. We must stop these leakages through disciplined, transparent leadership driven by character. It is time to redirect our hijacked resources back to the people and move Nigeria into the league of developed nations. With our collective resolve to change this corruption-infested system, a New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

That bread company saying that all their ingredients are NAFDAC certified. So NAFDAC is allowing people to put ingredients into bread that allows the bread to last for two months without moulding? And some wild animal was trying to compare NAFDAC regulations to EU regulations.

We understand how democracy actually works here. It’s an illusion of choice where parties dictate the candidates and the reality of our two party structure makes most votes feel binary. You’re either with Obi, with Tinubu or you’re sitting on the fence. Let’s stop pretending
The_Bearded_Dr_Sina@the_beardedsina

Okay... I really don't understand the TL So if someone doesn't support your candidate, the person doesn't want Nigeria to progress? So if someone doesn't support Peter Obi, the person is an enemy of progress and hater of Nigeria? Is that what it is now?

My youngest sister has been kidnapped 💔! She was kidnapped on Monday, 13 April 2026, on her way to Abuja to report for duties from Ogun State. We have not gotten precise information about where the incident happened. She reached us briefly around 12.am yesterday, 15 April 2026, that she has been kidnapped since on Monday without details of who kidnapped her, why, and where she is before the phone was taken from her. Now, they have been calling me until this moment demanding N100 million naira. Where do I raise 100 million naira? I can't even raise 100 thousand naira. They are calling me with a registered number. Our preliminary findings have it that this happened in Kabba, Kogi State, Nigeria. The organisation she is working for that she was reporting to has denied her. I have been to three different police stations. One in Lagos and the two at Mowe and Redeem Police stations. Police have no tracking system and that since there is no information about location, police said they can't work. I called police national PPRO. He said I should go and report at the nearest police station and ended the call. He did not pick calls again until now. I do not want to lose my sister. She is a very young girl who is just starting life. Please rescue her alive, safely, and complete. @PoliceNG @HQNigerianArmy @PoliceNG_CRU @OfficialDSSNG @officialABAT @aonanuga1956 @atiku @Brightgoldenboy @PeterObi @NGRPresident @NigeriaGov @BTOofficial @BolajiADC @davido @wizkidayo @DONJAZZY

I do not know the police station to report this to, but the organisation she is working for has been duly informed immediately I got the sad news and until this very moment. This is Dare Banjo, the @PoliceNG man who led ‘C’ Divisional policemen in Lokoja to brutalise, dehumanise and extort my colleague @MarkTheGre8. His specific words to my colleague were: “We will kill you here today. You will die today. You will be buried here. Go and ask about me. I have been to many states. I have buried many people. Go and ask about me. You’re too small for me. Who are you? I will kill you today, and if anybody questions me, I will kill the person too!” Abubakar Sule Mark’s sole offence was travelling on that road, only for Dare and other rogues to label him a ‘Yahoo Boy’. It is now one week since @fijnigeria reported the incident, but Dare is still walking scot-free. The hierarchy of the police have a duty to ensure justice for Mark. This injustice must not stand!

An interstate driver who couldn't sleep properly at night because no way to power the small standing fan that helps keep off mosquitoes in his apartment sits behind the steering in the morning with 18 passengers in his bus. The cool morning breeze caresses his face as he drives, he dozes off and veers off his lane into an oncoming private air-conditioned car of a man who had a good night's rest and taking his kids to school. 18 passengers dead. The man taking his kids to school losses both legs. Kids dead. If one isn't you, the other could be. You have no idea how much bad governance puts you at risk every day.

Not having stable electricity means that your water supply would be epileptic and so you wouldn’t be able to take showers with your partner because you’re managing water. This means that you’d have nobody to help you wash your back and your back will be dirty. This might cause friction in the bedroom when your partner is kissing your back and they taste dirt. Get your PVC, we have to vote this party out so your relationship can be saved.
