🇮🇱 Enough with these caricatures, Minister @gidonsaar. In Belgium, the judiciary is independent and makes its decisions —whether one agrees with them or not— free from any political influence. I recall that the proceedings in question were initiated by representatives of the Jewish community themselves. To portray those as a country’s desire to undermine the religious freedom of Jews is defamatory. This freedom has never been called into question and never will be in our country. Our Constitution protects it. Since you yourself recently urged against conducting diplomacy via Twitter, I suggest that we discuss all these issues during a meeting in Israel at a time that suits you best, in order to put an end to any misinterpretations. @BelgiumMFA

Je viens de m’entretenir avec le Président iranien Massoud Pezeshkian.
J’ai marqué ma vive préoccupation sur l'escalade en cours, et condamné les frappes injustifiées contre les infrastructures civiles émiriennes et plusieurs navires.
Toutes les parties doivent lever le blocus du Détroit, sans délai et sans conditions. Il faut revenir durablement au régime de pleine liberté de navigation qui prévalait avant le conflit.
La mission multinationale que la France et le Royaume-Uni ont mise sur pied peut aider à redonner confiance aux armateurs et aux assureurs. Elle sera par nature distincte des parties en guerre. Le pré-positionnement du porte-avions Charles de Gaulle s’inscrit dans ce contexte.
Les événements récents montrent bien l'utilité qu’aurait une telle mission. J'ai invité le président iranien à en saisir l'opportunité et je compte m’entretenir avec le Président Trump sur ce sujet.
Le retour du calme dans le Détroit aidera à avancer dans les négociations sur le nucléaire, le balistique et la situation régionale. Les Européens, desquels dépend la levée des sanctions y prendront leur place.

We call for the release of activists #Saif Abu Keshek and #Thiago Avila who's arbitrary detention has been extended by an Israeli court after the unlawful interception of the #GlobalSumudFlotilla vessels in international waters last week. The two activists were participating in a peaceful solidarity mission aiming to break Israel's unlawful blockade of the #Gaza Strip and deliver aid to Palestinians struggling to survive under Israel’s genocide and unlawful occupation. They are at great risk of human rights abuses, including torture and other ill-treatment given @amnesty's previous documentation of the abuse inflicted on flotilla activists detained in October 2025 at the hands of the Israeli authorities It is especially concerning that Saif Abu Keshek, a Palestinian-Spanish-Swedish national, is being detained on suspicion of affiliation with a terrorist organization given Israel's discriminatory laws and persistent record of harassment and oppression of Palestinians under Israel’s system of apartheid. Israel must immediately release them and ensure they are protected while in custody. Israel’s defiance of international law must end. The ICJ has been clear: Israel’s #occupation is unlawful and must be brought to an end. States must act now to restore some faith in international law by holding Israel accountable for its violations and crimes.

Breaking | The Global Sumud Flotilla reports that detained activist Thiago Avila was denied the chance to speak to or say goodbye to his mother before her death, and reportedly still does not know she has passed away due to his isolation and lack of contact with the outside world.
They renewed calls for the immediate release of Thiago and fellow activist Saif Abukeshek, while demanding an international investigation into the interception of the flotilla and violations committed during the attack.
