Just had an extremely long-lived dust devil or possible landspout just west of Willcox AZ. Lasted for at least 10 minutes, had very strong motion at the surface, and was located underneath nascent updraft, although I could not confirm a funnel/swirl at cloud base. Can rule out gustnado, as it was ongoing well before the outflow hit it and continued well after @NWSTucson

Ah yes — the May 30, 2025 Tall Timbers, Maryland tornado that NWS Sterling refused to confirm. (And yes, I said refused... there were emails, a phone call, etc.) Despite damage reports, video confirmation and a lengthy editorial, the tornado appears in no official database.

@weathernetwork No! Bad Weather Network! Stop running rubbish from the syndication wire without fact checking. The TORNADO DIDN’T HIT ANY ANEMOMETERS. That doesn’t mean its winds were only as high as what a local weather station clocked. That’s an absurd thing to print.

Daylight reveals the horrific aftermath of the intense tor in Huanggang, Hubei Province last night. The tor picked the deadliest path directly thru the city center, entire rows of bricks homes severely damaged or destroyed, cars tossed. Local authorities confirmed 9 fatalities.

More videos flooded in when a major probably violent tornado took a deadly path in Huanggang/Ezhou city in Hubei Province tonight.

An additional brief EF-U tornado has been confirmed on June 11 near Kouts, IN. This was a satellite tornado associated with the weakening Kouts EF-3 tornado. It did not cause any damage, which is why it received an EF-U rating. There is video proof of the tornado on the ground from storm chasers. Satellite tornadoes are typically smaller twisters that form alongside a dominant tornado. Indiana's tornado count is now up to 77.

@aiden_catman It’s not a question if we are gonna have a strong El Niño, but the poster claims that severe storms are going to impact the entire U.S and that people need to stockpile water and canned food

@HurricaneIsaac I’d say it’s confirmed to be at least a strong El Nino… But a super El Nino is still a question mark.

Widespread damage can be seen anywhere in downtown huanggang, Hubei Province. Hotels, hospitals, colleges all suffered major damage, based on what I've seen, a HE EF2 to LE EF3 is a safe guess.

The river city of Huanggang, which is just east of Wuhan in China, was hit by a strong, deadly tornado 2 hours ago. Some people I know who are familiar with the area say that there are "2 fatalities and hundreds injured." Photo not mine, taken from a Chinese social media site.

high quality video shows the formation of a large wedge tornado moved into Huanggang, Hubei Province tonight. Tornado strengthened significantly once moved into the lake.
