PATENT BREAKDOWN: US 2,056,975. INVENTOR: Charles J. Michal Jr. WHEN: 1934. STATUS: Expired. Charles describes a repeat reset mechanism for the Browning 1911. The patent was filed before a machine gun was defined in the National Firearms Act, which is why he calls it a "machine gun and convertor therefor," as there was no legal definition for a machine gun at the time. The system is similar to the Super Safety, and about as simple: See Fig. 2. The cam (red) is contacted and rotated counterclockwise by the slide as it moves rearward, this moves the pin (green) forward against the trigger bar (blue, see Fig. 1) moving the trigger forward against the trigger finger. The pin continues to hold the trigger forward until the slide completes its cycle, at which point the cam is free to rotate back allowing the trigger to be pulled again. The patents own words are: "The trigger 23 fires the piece as before. But, the instant that recoil takes place, the lower edge of the slide 12 engages the cam 28 of the converter 27, thus rotating it counter-clockwise, and forcing the pin 29 forward. This motion of the pin forces the trigger forward against the pressure of the trigger-finger of the man..." And "The pin 29 holds the trigger inoperative against the pressure of the trigger-finger. But, the instant that counter-recoil is completed, the cam 28 is free to move upward again, and consequently the pressure of the trigger-finger immediately again discharges the piece."

This Noblex mini Red Dot Sight was made specifically for Glocks, you can see it fits their slide cuts perfectly. It was tiny, but mine only worked for about an hour before it died. They never produced them in any numbers and nixed production soon after.

Politicians in Virginia are racing to pass an "assault weapons" ban that could take effect July 1st, and we're doing something about it. At Palmetto State Armory, we're not just building firearms, we're maximizing freedom. 🇺🇸

Hardware reality check: cheap drones are rewriting the cost curve. A ~$20K drone can seriously damage assets worth millions, not because of size but because of smart engineering. Shaped charges focus energy forward instead of wasting it, punching through steel and then delivering damage where it actually matters inside. It’s not about bigger weapons anymore. It’s about precision, physics, and asymmetry. #Drones #DefenseTech #Engineering #AsymmetricWarfare

There are really people on this site trying to claim that the top one looks natural and the bottom one looks “off.” Anti-AI nonsense has scrambled your brains.

When I made this account, it was mostly just a shitpost. Actually, I really made it with the long shot hope of getting the attention of Trex Arms and Garand Thumb because I felt that gun owners needed to be bridged into things like privacy and ATAK. I believed that I could steer otherwise tech illiterate gun enthusiasts towards more technical knowledge, and wanted to get the attention of larger accounts in the hopes of someday feeding them info to feed to their followers, or somehow just influence the zeitgeist of the general online gun community to be more well rounded. It was a weird personal mission I had. What actually happened was I grew a following of some of the smartest and nicest people I have ever interacted with, while somehow catching the attention of the very people I looked up to on YouTube for the past decade. I am blown away by this. I don't know how many people I have affected with my outreach, but if I have, I would love to hear about it. I'm a simple man. I am definitely not an expert, and never have claimed to be; and despite the people along the way who do know more than me feeling as though I was trying to act like one, I still highly respect and steer people their way. I am amazed at the high level of expertise that is here. I often times feel I have nothing more to offer this place other than send more people their direction. My goal was to just open the door for people, and show them a path. One they may have never taken otherwise. I have recycled many photos, as I am not much of a selfie kind of guy, and it actually takes a tremendous amount of time and equipment to make the visual media I post. But I promise once I get to Florida, you will have more video tapes than you know what to do with. I will miss Arizona, it was good to me. But it is time to go home. Tomorrow I start packing. Enjoy a digital photo, as a treat. Thank you all.

@johnkonrad I stopped listening to the podcast sometime in 2017. It was amazing how quickly it turned into members of The Blob chortling to each other about what an idiot Trump was to believe in the Deep State and how easy it was going to be to outmaneuver him.

For those interested in more @WarOnTheRocks content… let me present a full hour of Zach and team podcast hating on battleships! And when zach says “debate” he means they all debate how much they hate Trump. Seriously it’s impressive. A full hour and not one nice thing to say about big booming guns. WARING: you’ll need several hard on the rocks beverages to consume this TDS infused bullshit.

This week on Net Assessment we debated the Trump administration proposal to build new "battleships" -- we were not impressed... Here's our broadside against the idea: netassessment.libsyn.com/a-broadside-ag…
