Here is one(!) of my SPLC stories. Years ago, I made a bunch of videos for a homeschooling pastor, and we put them on Vimeo behind a paywall. The SPLC shut down the paid Vimeo account with no warning. They didn't allege that the content violated the TOS, but that the speaker did.

your internet isn't yours. one provider. one cloud. one app store. one external permission to exist online. mesh networks still look like a hobby. slow, ugly, weird hardware, people with antennas on roofs. so did modems in 1994. lora is the dial-up of the new internet. long-range. cheap. power-efficient. extremely hard to switch off when everything else goes down. new chips like lr2021 are pushing mesh past text into voice and video. not broadband. but neither was 3g when it started. last era, operators built the network. this time, you do. your roof. your car. a node in the window. a solar repeater in a field. a community that stopped waiting for permission. decentralization isn't winning on ideology. it's winning because centralized connectivity keeps getting more expensive, more closed, more ai-prioritized, more out of your hands. crypto gave us the formula: not your keys, not your funds. the network is getting its own: not your infrastructure, not your network. the next internet won't arrive as an app. it will arrive node by node. roof by roof. car by car. slow. ugly. limited. historically obvious.

@ThatRetiredDude @BrianRoemmele Lucas still owns shares, and we have tried to buy them. He has turned down a lot of offers from us and other parties. We've gone through multiple valuations and mediation, and he is still not selling. That's the update, I'm afraid.

@IsaacBotkin Hey, thanks for the like. In a past life I ran that Arisaka Scout Mount the moment it came out - perfect fix for suppressor shadow. You guys always had solid solutions to real problems. Quick question: has your brother Lucas been made whole on his T.REX equity yet? The company built such a strong reputation and a lot of longtime fans are still curious where things stand. Appreciate any update you can share.

BOOM! An estate of a former research scientist has donated over 1,800,000 pages of research notes from the lab he ran! In 1988 they used an IBM PageScanner model 3119. And they scanned everything! I never knew this device existed so early on. It opens up more possibilities.

And that’s fair and I’m sure you do care about him. But this needs to be cleared up. The burden of proof relies on Trex and you to address everything from his video 10 months ago. As far as I’ve seen, nothing has been truly addressed. People want to see receipts. We vote with our money. Family disagreements are one thing and this feels different.

They will not take any offers for T.Rex shares. We've made offers, other people have made offers, but they do not seem to want to sell. I know that you and a lot of other people are hurt that Lucas left, and that breaks my heart. But I want you to know that you will never love Lucas as much as I do. He has cut off his whole family but we still love him.

@IsaacBotkin Dude we loved Trex Arms. Especially as Christian’s. Lucas was your frontman, he sold product and was genuine. I’m not trying to be an ass, but after everything that went down, my money goes with Lucas. It probably falls on def ears. But whatever.
