Sorry but rates were not 3% when we first bought our homes. They were 12% and we made $3.34 an hour. We also had children to feed, didn’t go out to eat more than a couple times a year and had zero money left over at the end of the month after paying all bills.
We worked our way up the working ladder and didn’t buy bigger and better things as we made more money so we could start saving and investing.
Life is hard. Stop making it harder with your excuses.

So apparently I’m the bad guy for saying this, but here we go…
My neighbor was outside mowing his lawn completely shirtless in the middle of the afternoon, right in a residential neighborhood where families, kids, and neighbors are constantly walking by.
And before everyone jumps in with “it’s his property” or “it’s hot outside,” I get it. But when did basic standards and common decency become such a controversial topic?
This isn’t the beach. It isn’t a pool. It isn’t a gym. It’s a neighborhood.
Is throwing on a T-shirt really asking too much?
Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I was raised to believe that when you live around other people, you show at least a little awareness of the community around you. Nobody is saying he needs to wear a suit to mow the grass, but come on.
Some neighbors laughed and said I was overreacting. Others agreed that certain things just don’t really belong in a family neighborhood.
So I’m genuinely curious — am I being unreasonable here?
Or have we just completely lowered the bar for what people consider appropriate in public now? See less

Distant security footage has been released of Karmelo defending himself from Austin Metcalf attacking him. As you can see in the video, Karmelo was surrounded under the tent with no way to escape. As Austin was standing over Karmelo attacking him, Karmelo neutralized the threat using self defense, and Karmelo had to run UP the stairs to escape further danger because he was boxed in from running DOWN the stairs.
This is CLEARLY self defense

Nope. A woman could always walk in after. My father when I was a little girl always brought me in the mens restroom and he supervise. I remember one time I got locked in a one single restroom stall when I was 4 or 5 when he brought me to a bar and he finally noticed I did not come back for a while and I was crying when everyone finally got the door unlocked. It took them forever to get me out. I know that’s irrelevant to the convo but that’s a memory that popped in my head. It felt like forever.
