@SonofManwithus Una pregunta : cuando le dijo “ aléjate de mi satanas “ también ven a ustedes a Pedro como el diablo o eso no conviene?
Español

This passage seems to create a division amongst the church.
I would really like to know how you interpret this passage?
I will put my thoughts in the comments.
👇
Matthew 16:13-20 (NKJV)Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” 20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.
English

@BarefootCowboy_ @ZylstraJohn @SonofManwithus It’s after Jesus predicts His death and resurrection. I’m paraphrasing here… Peter rebuked Jesus saying, “Lord this shall never happen to you!…” Jesus turned to Peter “Get behind Me Satan!…”
Read Matthew 16:13-23 to get greater context and flow of scripture. 😊
English

@ZylstraJohn @SonofManwithus Why does Jesus say that?
English

@Mamasienk @DavidFischer @grok Right!? In act and speech.
John 21:25
And there are also other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
English

@DavidFischer @grok Not everything Jesus said is in the Bible.
Do you think every word he ever spoke was recorded?
English

I think of many things… “Bible” is modern standard word.
“The Books”- Greek ta biblia, derived from Biblios, papyrus plant or Phoenician port Byblos- writing material, or scrolls “Sacred Texts”. Latin Sacred texts Biblia Sacra, French “Holy Books” Bible became standard
Luke 4:16-17
So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And he was handed the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the scroll, He found the place where it was written:…
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is breathed out by G-d and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
Matthew 5:17-18
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net Have you ever wondered, given the importance of the Bible in your life, why Jesus never once talked about a book being made in the future called the Bible?
English

@LaneAndrew4 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net Yes indeed, G-ds Word from Genesis to Revelation. 🙏🏻🤍🕊️
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net I don't do me, I'm with all other Christian who have lived since 33AD.
You're with your Bible.
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net I’d rather follow G-ds Word through prayer and study then following mans meaning.
**I'd rather follow what Christians have believed and how they have lived for the last 2000 years than what I, a 21st Century American, think the words of the Bible mean.
English

You seem to be putting me in a box of your own assumptive design. I’d rather follow G-ds Word through prayer and study then following mans meaning. Trusting in G-d not the world. If you choose not to read the Word of G-d, that’s your choice.
Matthew 4:4
But He answered and said “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of G-d.’”
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net Christianity is not about swapping Bible verses.
Quoting Bible verses has lead Protestants into thousands of disagreeing Denominations.
English

You are making quite an assumption, and belittlement about my faith, my testimony of faith, as well as, my understanding why Jesus came—
G-ds will.
Even Jesus said, in the garden of Gethsemane,
Luke 22:42 “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from me; Not my will, but Yours be done.”
Presented to you, in this thread, scripture, G-ds word. Which you haven’t presented.
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net I guess my point is, if you don't understand Mary's role in salvation history, you don't really understand who Jesus is, or why He came.
English

@LaneAndrew4 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net I never said unimportant, that’s your interpretation. There’s only one central salvation story, G-ds will.
“For nothing will be impossible with G-d.” And Mary said “Behold I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.”
Have a good night.
English

@SalomonsRing @JLPaige1 @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net I say yes to all these items you listed.
That's my point. Mary's role is central to the actual real salvation history that saved us.
Not sure why you accept all the above, but then say Mary's role was unimportant or not needed!
English

@ginamilan_ She’s a self appointed professional stalker. At her behest, minions jump with seeming glee to gather “intel” in which all of them think they have a right to know. It’s incredibly obsessive, and truly disturbing behavior. Leading down a broad path in which no good dwells.
English

I’m a child of Ruth and daughter of Naomi, I’m a Messianic Jewish woman, I’m a child of G-d.
I don’t get how you’re coming to that conclusion. I’m not denying that Mary was the vessel for G-d made flesh—of His only begotten Son, Jesus our savior.
At this point, think what you will. I’ll keep
standing for Jesus my Savior, thanking Jesus my Savior, and reading His Word.
🙏🏻🤍🕊️
John 1:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with G-d, and the Word was
G-d. He was in the beginning with G-d. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net I'm not putting Mary above God. You're denying that Mary gave birth to our Savior.
Are you a Christian?
English

Glory in the Highest!🙏🏻🤍🕊️
We are saved because the one True G-d chose to make Himself lower than angels, chose to become G-d in flesh, chose to be the only begotten Son, chose to be the sacrificial Lamb, chose to be our savior.
You keep putting Mary above G-d. No one is above G-d. That’s not obedience.
English

@SalomonsRing @JLPaige1 @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net You were saved because Mary gave birth to your Savior.
God could have done it another way, but He chose to do it through Mary.
If I've spoken wrongly, correct me. All you keep doing is exorcisms and calling me the Devil. You have run out of rational arguments.
English

If Mary wasn’t obedient to G-d, the Lord would have chosen another Jewish woman who was obedient to G-d.
Romans 5:18-19
Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteousness act of free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net No Mary, No Incarnation, No salvation.
English

He chose her because of her obedience to Him. We are saved because of Him, He made Himself flesh, He died on the cross, He rose Himself from the dead.
Isaiah 42:8
I am the Lord, that is My name; My glory I will not give to another, nor my praise to carved images.
Isaiah 48:11
For My own sake, for My own sake I will do it; For how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another.
1 Corinthians 8:5
Colossians 2:9-10
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the
G-dhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is head of all principality and power.
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net I suppose that's all true. But Mary's life and work are not really about following Scripture or synagogue attendance. Mary gave birth to God. Because of her work we are saved.
English

Why Mary was called holy: Mary was obedient to G-d writ laws—commandments. Her life is portrayed as a model of Jewish faithfulness. From hearing the Torah, the scripture, and other scripture in the synagogue, ritual baths, festivals of the Lord, prayers etc… Through her unwavering trust in G-ds covenantal promises to Abraham.
Mary and Joseph raise Jesus in the same manner.
English

@JLPaige1 @SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net We can argue about whether Jesus' Incarnation or Passion were greater---but let's just say, Mary was involved in one of the greatest task in all of history.
English

“most important work of God in history”
🤔
That would be— Jesus dying for all sin, for all people: Past, present and future. Rising three days after His death, and ascending to and is seated at the right hand of His Father.
John 3:16
For G-d so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For G-d did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
English

@SalomonsRing @WadeMitchell17 @jb77neb @needGod_net We can be holy, yes. Mary was very holy. She was full of grace. She was set apart for the most important work of God in history.
Why is it that Christians can be holy, but Mary cannot be?
English

I thank Him for His gift of redeeming Grace daily, for His guidance, mercy, and protection, praying to the Heavenly Father in Jesus name.
Every Friday, just before sundown, I light the Shabbat candles-pray, lift the the cup of wine with prayer- drink the wine, pray over the bread- eat the bread… With gratefulness, humbleness of our Creator, our Messiah Yeshua, and of the Holy Spirit which gives us comfort, and direction. In all things His will be done.
🙏🏻🤍🕊️
English

@JLPaige1 @RivesMelis67154 @SonofManwithus Not at all, it is a bringing forward of the fruits of the act of redemption into our own time and space. It is the forgiveness of the sins committed today and tomorrow.
English

@LisaMcKMir @RivesMelis67154 @SonofManwithus So every mass Sunday, you re-crucify Him? He died and resurrected once, for all.
John 19:30
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.”And bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit.
English

@RivesMelis67154 @SonofManwithus It is not so much our prayers for you, although there is that. But it’s through the holy sacrifice of the mass which manifests the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our salvation and resserects Him in us through the Eucharist. You Protestants are so shallow.
English

Read your Bible people do not be deceived!
From the translation:
Douay-Rheims Bible
🤔
Jeremiah 9:4-6
Let every man take heed of his neighbor, and let his not trust in any brother of his: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every friend will walk deceitfully. And a man shall mock his brother, and they will not speak the truth: for they have taught their tongue to speak lies: they have laboured to commit iniquity. Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit: Through deceit they have refused to know me, saith the Lord.
English

#Peace is not something we must invent: it is something we must embrace by accepting our neighbor as a brother or sister. We do not choose our brothers and sisters: we must simply accept one another! We are one family, inhabiting the same home: this wonderful planet that ancient cultures have cared for over millennia. #ApostolicJourney #Cameroon
