The argument that you need a human to overlook AI translations is semi-valid but actual AI translation services, not Gemini etc are actually very good at conveying emotion etc. Companies are always looking for a way to save money. If they can save $65k a year by not paying for a dedicated translator, they should. Not even trying to slob on AIs knob or anything but this is just common sense.

AI translation software is pretty good nowadays. My tribe (game group) made a discord bot that translates voice chat into text within a couple seconds. When our Japs, Germans, French, or Spanish speak it translates to English, very well. I've heard people use the argument that AI translations don't convey emotion, slang, etc and that's generally not true. I don't mean to sound like I'm sucking AI's weiner or anything but yea, it's useful.

I’ve read all the books at least twice each. I literally grew up reading Harry Potter and anxiously waiting for every new one to come out. You sound like you’ve never actually read them, because your take on the story is pretty shallow. You haven’t even watched the series and you’re already saying HBO is turning it into racism. First of all, if you read Harry Potter, you know it’s a fantasy world, and in that world, racism as we know it doesn’t exist. The racism there is all about blood purity, not skin color. Plus, this is an adaptation. There are tons of ways to tell the story and make it super clear that the bullying Snape went through had nothing to do with racism

Warhorse Studios Employee has been fired from the Studio in favor of AI. Max H, who has been working for the studio since 2022 as a translator and editor talked about his situation on a Reddit post. According to his statement, the management at Warhorse invited him to a meeting and told him; in an effort to "make the company more effective" and "save finances", as of next month, his position at the company would become "obsolete" in favour of using AI for all translations going forward. He was fired from Warhorse Studios on March 27 2026 with no warnings at all. What are your thoughts?

Oh my god, I just tested this out myself and its actually insane how Crimson Desert makes you wait a whole transportation sequence to go to another location. If you stand on top of a teleporter and fast travel to another teleporter it gets you there almost instantly. However, moving just a few steps away and traveling back to that same teleporter, the game makes you sit through a whole cutscene which takes approximately 15 seconds to finish. The developers should get rid of this ASAP, it looks cool for the first time you do it, but I would much rather take a quicker load screen than watching a cutscene every time I fast travel...

Main things that make caves "good" is a tribes ability to hold the cave with just a few ppl. Caves choke points & crouch points being removed + cryo nerfs has been a double edged sword for this game so far. Oasis Cave easily defendable with 1-2 ppl, Shadow is the same. Snow North is good but a motivated tribe can still push, sadly usually with exploits/cheats but eh what can ya do. Astraeos has added good water caves, even the new pearl caves are ultra necessary to fob block at minimum.
