Rethinking my own WordPress site. Generating HTML is so easy now. Friction comes translating that HTML to block editor, but is it? If you start with empty WordPress and have AI build a custom theme and a custom block plugin... then the pipeline starts to get really good.

@TomFrankly @shpak_dev @austinginder I'm going to try to use sanity headless CMS for that part. Front end all html and then pushing content with sanity headless CMS. That's my solve but still need to run experiments this coming week. Will let you know what I find

@BridgetMWillard In essence, it's just a workflow platform with integration nodes. The brain is Claude, and the platform is just how I chain everything.
It's like zapier on crack.

Claude code does the scaffolding, and the n8n integrates with clickup, so my clients have direct interaction with my agents, they give it feedback and my agents updates and pushes back to clickup

With all the worry about whether WordPress will lose market share to other CMS', it took a long time to realize the biggest threat might be static or AI-generated websites. The numbers are still small, but I'm hearing more and more stories about people building sites with AI.

@BridgetMWillard Yep. I'm building a n8n content production pipeline and WordPress complicates it. Sure rest API can do it, but static html is by far easier within my pipeline. I still have WordPress clients but I'm moving my 15 sites away over the next 90 days.

@trikcode Or, you start something, fuckup, learn, get better, try again, fuck up, learn, try again and get better - eventually you think like an engineer. Especially if you are consciously building and not "hype-coding."

Today I edited my 100+ page site without opening WordPress once.
Told Claude what I wanted. It read my Elementor elements, rewrote the hero, fixed the copy, updated everything, cleared all caches.
I was smiling the whole time.
This is what people rushing to new frameworks are missing.
WordPress people did not get left behind. The ecosystem is the moat.
20 years of plugins and community is the reason AI can actually do something useful on top of it.
I believe WordPress remains. Not out of nostalgia. Because the evidence keeps pointing that way.
And with WordPress 7 coming, I am just getting started.

Almost every SaaS app inside Vercel has now been replaced with a generated app or agent interface, deployed on Vercel. Support, sales, marketing, PM, HR, dataviz, even design and video workflows. It’s shocking. The SaaSpocalypse is both understated and overstated. Over because the key systems of record and storage are still there (Salesforce, Snowflake, etc.) Understated because the software we are generating is more beautiful, personalized, and crucially, fits our business problems better. We struggled for years to represent the health of a Vercel customer properly inside Salesforce. Too much data (trillions of consumption data points), the ontology of Vercel was a mismatch to the built-in assumptions, and the resulting UI was bizarre. We generated what we needed instead. When you don’t need a UI, you just ask an agent with natural language. We’ve also been moving off legacy systems with poor, slow, outdated, and inconsistent APIs, as well as just dropping abstraction down to more traditional databases. UI is a function 𝑓 of data (always has been), and that 𝑓 is increasingly becoming the LLM.
