Today, one of my chess kids told me he ran into time trouble at his tournament this weekend and lost the game because of it,and honestly? That made my whole day.😃😃😃 I’m not rooting for him to lose. I’m just watching a kid who used to play fast become a kid who plays chess. 🥹 Two months ago, his parents and I could barely stop him from blundering his pieces away in the first ten moves. The boy did not want to think. He just wanted to move. Now he’s sitting at that board thinking so deep he’s running out of clock.
