Evaluation of the effect of tumour size on outcomes for patients undergoing adrenalectomy for phaeochromocytoma: international multicentre analysis ➡️doi.org/10.1093/bjsope… Surgical resection is the standard treatment for phaeochromocytoma, but guidelines recommend an open approach for large (≥ 6 cm) tumours due to an increased risk of complications. This study shows that patients undergoing adrenalectomy for phaeochromocytomas ≥ 6 cm in diameter have a higher risk of severe complications than patients with smaller tumours.
