After almost a month with Marathon, it feels safe to say that Bungie's new Sci-Fi extraction shooter should be considered a new multiplayer great. gamerant.com/marathon-revie…

@GamesRadar Yeah, like Dark Souls. I said that in the other article. The difference is Dark Souls is a good game, Marathon not. Marathon is just another flop live-service who is losing is players every week!!! Yep. 70% plays it on PC, 62% already left the game in 3 weeks...

Yes, Marathon is hard – but that is liberating gamesradar.com/games/fps/yes-…

@GameRant So much crybabies in this section 😂 telling the truth hurts right??

@GameRant After almost a month with Marathon, it feels safe to say that Bungie's new Sci-Fi extraction shooter is being abandoned by players for being a repetitive generic game trying to be the Dark Souls of live-service FPS.

@eurogamer Game Journalists trying to save Marathon by throwing sand to our eyes....
English

Not only is Marathon impeccably stylish, it also backs up that audiovisual flair with sumptuous combat and maps riddled with secrets, surprises and opportunities. After all the hubbub surrounding its development, its quality speaks for itself.

@my_cow @Illusive_Spider @gameinformer Yeah, if they tried (with success) to delay reviews because of that...
English

@LAGamingTech @Illusive_Spider @gameinformer Because the map had to be unlocked by the community as part of an event. I wouldn’t count that as the game as being “incomplete”. Would you?
English

With the Cryo Archive looming, we've decided to hold off on delivering a scored Marathon review until our reviewer can experience it. However, you can check our our in-depth thoughts on Bungie's new extraction shooter right here: gameinformer.com/review-in-prog…

English

@JLM761 @gameinformer I don't care what they say. I played the damn game and it sucks. You want talk numbers?? Actually Marathon have 5,8/10 on User Ratings on Metacritic, and the game lost +50% of his player-base...if it was so good, the numbers would be much better in everything.
English

@LAGamingTech @gameinformer The player reviews averaging 9/10 across all 3 platforms, YouTube videos, and streams aren't enough for you to make an educated decision at this point?
English

@LosTweeting @gameinformer Yeah, looking at the numbers, certainly...the game lost +/- 50% of his player-base...players are starting to abandon the game and switch to others and better ones.
English

@LAGamingTech @gameinformer I mean, either way, the journalists in your head will always do things wrong. Everyone is a shill.
You can read their thoughts right now, which is equally important.
But looking at a score is much easier, yeah?
English

@GrocottAlec @IGN It isn't. Maybe would be if it was a top Single Player with that multiplayer mode. But just a live service when that developer did, in the past, Halo, recognized for epic single player and fantastic multiplayer, this Marathon feels incomplete and simply not what fans wanted.....
English

@LAGamingTech @IGN I’m a PlayStation gamer and some of those are the best I’ve ever played
But marathon is just fantastic
English

According to one analyst: “Marathon hasn't exactly made the splash Sony and Bungie wanted.” bit.ly/4sAIGmm

@xMBGx I have PS5, so i will move to Xbox Helix, because then i can play PC games (Steam / Epic Store) on the new Xbox. With PS5, i can still play my entire library of games. PS6? Hell no, Sony is worse than ever, dynamic prices on PS Store (who buys more, pays more) & few exclusives...
English

@pcgamer This is so bull€hit. Sincerely. It's a hybrid console like Nintendo Switch, with a difference that is not portable but allow us to play PC games there (Steam / Epic Games Store). It's still a Xbox. That's great news. That's awesome!!!
English

Microsoft's Project Helix sounds like it could be better for gamers than the Series X but in a way that is worse for Xbox pcgamer.com/hardware/micro…
English

@xMBGx I am done with Sony PlayStation. Next will be the new Xbox with Steam.
English

If you're surprised Marathon turned out this well, I'm with ya. This time last year, I had all but written it off after trying that dreadful alpha with the cartoony art, no solo mode, and no prox chat. But Bungie made great changes and clearly knew what it had that other extraction shooters didn't.
