@bencoles_ I’d feel loads better if it was Furbank at 15 (with Daly and Roebuck on wings). It’s really interesting Steve isn’t picking him, given we know he’s a big fan.

Still trying to work out how I feel about that England backline two days later. It's punchy, admire the ruthlessness. No idea if it will work in Rome. observer.co.uk/news/sport/art…

@brettruganalyst So bored of this type of lazy commentary, Times is normally much better than this. Data does not equal risk adverse or boring - it’s just an input

@CharlesRTel Agreed. Love Tadhg, love the passion. Can’t stand listening to Dawson complaining about ENG celebrations every week.

What does a Test rugby player's bulking diet actually look like? @CharlesRTel took on a four-week challenge to eat like a prop, consuming 4,200 calories daily. His supermarket haul included: 🥛 Six pints of milk 🥚 21 eggs 🥩 Lots of meat 💪 Protein powder 🔺 And much more...

🎵 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥… 🎵 Some 2018 vibes to this #SixNations for England. Eddie Jones used his bottoming out cut the dead wood. Does Steve Borthwick? Baffling collapse, now what’s next with the 6N gone & South Africa looming? 🫣 @TimesSport

"Borthwick has three weeks to discover who has the spirit, the mental toughness, and the genuine Test quality to go to South Africa and compete — no country for weak men." ✍️ @willgkelleher thetimes.com/sport/rugby-un…

@TEnglishSport The way you talk about this all the time is convincing me that’s it not a big deal to you Tom.

Since Gregor Townsend took over, Scotland 21 Six Nations wins, England 23 Six Nations wins. Not sure that a difference of two wins justifies the claim of Scotland only getting up for England. England have finished 5th, 2nd, 1st, 5th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 2nd. Now 4th. Pretty dismal

Rassie's master plan becoming clear. Last week Nienaber's coaching at Leinster created weaknesses in Ireland's defensive. This week the seeds Felix Jones's planted during his stint, finally dismantled England's defensive structures.

Scotland win ugly. Horrible and yet brilliant victory. Wales were terrific. Scotland showed loads of bottle. To them, it will mean as much if not more than last Saturday bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-un…

@CharlieFelix I think a lot of us hoping Furbank is fit and firing. At his best he is a uniquely complete 15 for us, everyone else is much more specialist.

Just felt like a doom spiral for England today. When they took off Steward, they often had at least one (and sometimes two) of Ford, M Smith and Arundell in the back-field. Ireland lapped that up with kick-pressure. thetimes.com/sport/rugby-un…

This passage from England - the lack of competition in the air followed by Genge's missed tackle - is pretty astonishing.

So, are we going to hear chat about Ireland only getting up for games against England? Ireland special, England utterly abysmal.

Exactly this. The team is going through a patch we're not accustomed to recently, and the intensity in some key areas that England pride their A and overall game on is off. But the quality has not vanished, nor in this playing group or coaching team.
Dream XV - Fantasy Rugby Game@DreamXVRugby

Seeing alot of talk about Borthwick and his job on here. He is the same coach that literally just came of the back of a 12 game win streak which included Arg, NZ, Aus, Fra etc. The performance was abject, and I agree the team needs a rocket but let's all take a breath...

Ireland excellent and absolutely not flattered by the scoreline. For England, the most damning indictment is that it was reminiscent the 6N and World Cup warm-up games of 2023... which were horrible.
