@peteh81 @PolitlcsUK @danriversitv Trump did the alienating. Suggest you check the actual facts of how this started. I won’t defend Starmer, but I’m sick of you so called patriot accounts sucking on trumps wotsit Willy. He’s a senile gimp.

Our special relationship with the US used to be the bedrock of a sovereign, confident Britain. Now, we’ve got a Prime Minister who’d rather pander to Brussels than maintain our strongest alliance. Trump calling the relationship "not good" is a massive wake-up call. We need a leader who stands tall on the world stage and puts English interests first, not a weak globalist who manages our decline by alienating our oldest friends.

@johnrapheal01 @PolitlcsUK @danriversitv He should have consulted then shouldn’t he. I’m not a Starmer fan, but Trump is talking shite. He did what daddy Israel told him to do and nobody else wanted to play his little game. Fuck him, the gimp.

Trump’s got a point – when your closest ally sits on the sidelines during a scrap, the “special relationship” starts feeling more like an awkward family dinner where no one passes the potatoes. Starmer’s “not our war” vibe might play well at home, but it leaves the bill on America’s table again. Time to step up or watch the trade deals get a serious rethink. Classic case of actions (or lack thereof) speaking louder than tea and diplomacy! 😂

@dantypo Just like any other country America has shit holes. The GDP ranking is massively flawed as that wealth isn’t evenly distributed. I’ve been to America many times and I’ve seen the bad and good sides. Stop making shit up for internet brownie points from Americans.

The “Great Britain ranks below the 50th state” thing is something I always knew. The one thing you learn about traveling anywhere is that tourism by its nature funnels you to preferred places. You’re not going to England to walk the blue collar streets of Sheffield. You go to the state or Stonehenge. What you do learn by living in America is that even in the “lesser” neighborhoods, the people have more than most of the populated areas of European countries. My SIL is a victim of the “oh I’d love to live there” mentality. The truth is, most people would choose any suburb in America over any residential zone in 90% of Europe. It feels cool to think, “oh I live 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower!” Until you realize 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower means you live in an incredibly downtrodden neighborhood. Sure that quaint and cute $500 a night room on the Seine feels special when you travel. But that’s NOT where you’d live. There’s a reason so many try to immigrate to America despite living in in all these exotic or historic places. Simply put, America is better. The only people who don’t appreciate that are the ones who were spoiled by a life lived here.

@slackkejakke Did you see the jaywalking post a couple of days ago? "Land of the free" where you're not allowed to cross a road without being nicked, and he was trying to say that this is actually a British thing. The idea is obviously that if they throw enough shit, some of it will stick.

@anon_opin I learned world history in school. All the bad along with the good the British empire did and learned all about the contributions of others to our nation. You obviously had a shit school. The education you’re thinking of is the American one, with their making love to the flag.

The British media and education system has been excellent at brainwashing the population into accepting a monarchy and believing it's the greatest country in the world. North Korea vibes to it all.

@lukelambert99 @OctaneOrTurbo @3YearLetterman @real_lord_miles Some take it too far, I’m guilty of it myself sometimes but I never mean anything maliciously. I like a good back and forth, insult me and I’ll insult you then we share a laugh at the end. There seems to be some real aggression on X lately there’s a bit of UK vs USA spats.

Don't ever let a yank tell you they have better quality of life compared to the UK, it's not remotely true. The US is the most impoverished, crime-ridden, least educated of all major economies in the world. Their ignorance and arrogance delude them otherwise.

@MorgothsReview I like america. It’s a massively flawed country and they don’t get banter or accept criticism at all, but on the whole it’s a nice country to visit. MAGA is a strange, weird little cult that don’t seem to actually know anything valuable other than “America da best”

This idea that the British walk about seething about Americans or carrying some sort of cultural animosity simply isn’t true, it just isn’t a thing and wasn’t a thing until MAGA invented it about 6 months ago. The French have it to a degree, also the Belgians. But the British don’t, it’s a product of MAGA influencers and nothing else, it’s pure fiction.

@lukelambert99 @OctaneOrTurbo @3YearLetterman @real_lord_miles No it really is banter though. I actually really like the US and I have a lot of family there. Like I’ve said to someone else there’s a lot of things America does better than the UK, and the UK better at other things. But banter is definitely lost on some Americans.
