@EveB7373 @llewelyn20 1265 is the maximum directed working hours for a teacher of directed time, this is not taught hours

An academy near me has extended their half term to two weeks, and they have cut the amount of teaching days in the year by 5 to 185. Are they allowed to do this? I thought the amount of days in a year were statutory? Can someone explain as I'm simple and don't understand.
