🚨BBC Wales have posted an article with the FALSE claim that Elbashir Idris is “from Cardiff”. He was born in Oman to Sudanese parents, arriving in Wales only a few years later, and says Sudan “lives in him”. They conveniently omit that as it doesn’t fit their pro-Plaid agenda.

@ClwydEnComu I think that ship has sailed. Look at the graph, it should not be this contested by now. A Plaid gov will make that antagonism worse. I think we have to think outside the box to defend Cymru where is truly still the land of the Cymry. We need our own separate Senedd.

Here are some comments on X about the latest televised leaders' debate - "Just politicians yapping. A pathetically weak talent pool" "As I was watching it, I thought: ‘is this the best Wales can expect?’" "Nothing new, low calibre, low IQ political troughers the lot of them "The current standard of political leadership in Wales and across the UK is as bad as it has ever been in my memory. Extremely uninspiring and disengaging" And those are just the first few comments, from viewers who, as far as we can tell, have no party political axe to grind What a shame that we at GWLAD haven't been given the chance to put the cat amongst the pigeons And to give voters, who are crying out for change, a REAL alternative

Reform blow the racist dogwhistle and then offer up empty apologies after the damage is done. Textbook scaremongering in action. The real challenge is the cost of living & bringing hope to communities where despair has taken root. Vote Plaid Cymru bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@Mab_Darogan Do you know how insane and insufferable Reform supporters will be (many of whom are probably switching on to Welsh politics for the first time) when they win the most votes and most seats and don’t govern? It’s catastrophic for the legitimacy of devolution.

@Mab_Darogan @ClwydEnComu They have no intention of governing anyway, but if they're the biggest party they'll get a bigger budget and spend the next 4 years driving a conspiracy theory that they've been silenced, spreading more division in the process

@cathy_owens @ceritheviking Fun times for lobbyists. No party can be held accountable for their promises in such a scenario. So everything is up for grabs. Wales needs full First Past the Post.

Looks like a rainbow might be on the cards if this was the result. This isn't just about agreeing an FM in week one, but about passing a budget in the Autumn. I don't think a minority government of any colour with a third of the parliamentary seats will survive past the first budget without some additional deal. We're in proper, continental-style, multi-party, fluid government composition territory. All to play for on policy and funding for the next four years as the reality is that what will be delivered over the next four years is an amalgam of various elements of party manifesto policy commitments and specific one-off projects. Fun times.

🚨A new poll by @Survation for @S4C has Reform UK 2% ahead of Plaid Cymru and winning 4 more seats, according to our projection. Headline figures: Reform UK: 30% (37 Seats) Plaid Cymru: 28% (33 Seats) Labour: 15% (13 Seats) Conservatives: 10% (7 Seats) Green: 10% (5 Seats) Liberal Democrats: 4% (1 seat) Other: 4%

@WillHayCardiff Surprised the comments haven’t been turned off now that someone has done some actual journalism on the subject.
Plaid Cymru Exposed@PlaidExposed

This is Elbashir Idris. You may recognise him. He recently featured in a Plaid campaign video in which he pledged to “stand up for Wales”. Following a joke posted by @Arron_Banks on X, Plaid accused him of thinking that “black people can’t be Welsh”. We’ve done some digging 🧵
