@MandroDesign @framer Yes, on framer marketplace. Whenever I click to use Palmer template, Viper template project opens up.

I’ve noticed some @Framer creators shifting their strategy — making templates free and fully relying on Partner Program revenue instead of direct sales. I get the reasoning, but I still don’t think it’s the best move. Why? If someone can’t afford a template, chances are they won’t buy a big Framer plan either. Plus, I value my work and I want my customers to value it too. Giving it away for free feels like throwing it away. That said, whatever path you choose — good luck! It’s great that Framer gives us the freedom to earn by doing what we love ❤️

I’ve had a great experience with Framer’s Partner Rewards — it’s one of the best programs they offer. It has its ups and downs, though, since it’s a slow process, but the results are worth it over time. That’s why I stuck to free templates. But now I’m starting to think I should have gone with a mix of free and paid. High-quality customers usually don’t go for free templates, and having a creator page full of only free products doesn’t really reflect a strong brand image.

@MandroDesign @AntonDrukarov @framer @bynneh Nobody's going to tell you to give away a good template for free, but now you're asking the right people here. :) And also I'm pretty sure Anatolii would agree too.

@AntonDrukarov @tamasbodo @framer Yeah, for sure @AntonDrukarov! I’ll be launching paid templates soon. You were actually the first to suggest making Viper a paid one when I released it. That template idea was inspired by the legend himself — @bynneh!

@tamasbodo @AntonDrukarov @framer Even publishing my new paid template under my current account doesn’t seem like the best idea, as @tamasbodo mentioned — people already associate me with free templates, haha.

@MandroDesign @AntonDrukarov @framer Your work is really great! I never understood why you offered it for free. You might be one of the template creators Anton was referring to. 😊

@AntonDrukarov @tamasbodo @framer I haven’t published any paid templates yet, but I’ll be launching my first one soon under a new brand, since my current account only features free templates.

@tamasbodo @framer What saddens me is that sometimes even high-quality creators end up pricing their templates at $0 😔

You’re absolutely right! The marketplace is a fantastic source of traffic, but building your own audience is essential for long-term stability. Having control over your growth outside the marketplace ensures you're diversifying and securing your business, just in case of any unexpected changes. Great advice for any creator! ✌️

The marketplace will of course have the hottest traffic source of people looking to buy Framer templates. The issue is, is that you don’t want to end up relying on the marketplace for the growth of your business because it is ultimately out of your control. If Frame decide to change one thing on the marketplace, your business is dead overnight. So while it’s great to utilise the marketplace, it’s just as important to be building your own audience/traffic sources on the side. Just something to keep in mind for all creators out there ✌️

From my experience, the @Framer Marketplace has been far more effective than posting on X. If your template is top-notch, the marketplace brings the right traffic and serious buyers straight to you—just like it does for @bynneh. People hunting for templates are searching the marketplace, not scrolling through X.
Anatolii Dmitrienko@bynneh

I took a 3-week break from social media to run an experiment: How much does posting on X actually drive @framer template sales? Turns out not much at all. My Fabrica template generated over $15,000 in just 3.5 weeks without any marketing tweets or posts. Absolutely incredible results. While my established X account and website certainly help with credibility, the Framer Marketplace itself drove the vast majority of sales. It is the real MVP that does all the heavy lifting for you: - Massive organic reach - Built-in audience actively looking for quality products - Equal opportunities for everyone - Minimal marketing needed if your product is solid You can focus on creating brilliant templates while they handle the distribution. This may change when more designers flood the market, but for now, that's the reality. For template creators, the data is clear: spend your time on product excellence first, marketing second.

New @framer component drop: Grid Warp ⚡️ Interactive, grid-based image distortion with smooth release + chromatic aberration. And of course, no code needed (that was my job). Comment “WARP” and I’ll send it to you for free. P.S. Follow me so I can DM you.
