KHL.TV showed the first three periods of the UFA game, but switched to another game and is not showing the overtime. Where is @davehodge20 when you need him?
Grant McCagg@grantmccagg
Avto scores in the last 38 seconds to go up 3-2 on UFA. Evgeny Kuznetsov ties it with four seconds to go. Crazy finish. Heading to OT with UFA trying to clinch the series. No points for Zharovsky so far.

@granby_island @scottcwheeler @TheAthleticNHL Not when you think about the players that have graduated. This pool has graduated Demidov, Hutson, Slafkovsky, Dobes and Kapanen already and is STILL ranked top 1/3 in the league.
English

@scottcwheeler @TheAthleticNHL Seems low for the Habs prospects :(

@BPMSportsRadio Demidov takes Kucherov's power like it's the Highlander and becomes Ultimate Russian Player
English

@JFreshHockey McDavid vs Kucherov. Not saying McDavid shouldn't be thought of as potentially generational, but it feels like this is the marketing machine from when he was 16. Kucherov has beaten him multiple seasons in a row. Career stats are similar except for the cups.
English

@GabrielDufour4 @JFreshHockey If you're old enough to have watched him, you wouldn't hesitate to say he was generational. He always ALWAYS looked like he was way better than anyone else on the ice other than his linemate Mario. He was the only guy capable of being on the same stage as Jagr
English

@2997_mcdrai @JFreshHockey Makar is generational. He's ushered in a new style of play for defencemen, which has changed how offenses work. Offensively, he's better than Lidstrom was. Defensively, I would put Lidstrom ahead of him. But Lidstrom was the perfect Dman in his time.
English

@JFreshHockey Makar being generational is a little crazy. He’s upper echelon franchise above Keith and Hedman compared to the guys in the 2010’s but idk if I’d put him alongside Orr and Lidstrom
English

@JFreshHockey I think Ovechkin is generational. We've had goal scorers have more goals in a single season, but he's done it for 20+ years. If there were no lockouts, he'd be close to 1000 goals at this point.
He's a different style of scorer, not "just a skilled guy" he is a bulldozer
English

@GoSensGo2006 @NathanGraviteh The team is almost the exact same as this year. They effectively removed Laine, added 2 rookies and a couple of guys that were released by other teams. The team was already on it's upswing to anybody watching the games.

Buffalo... sure. But the Montreal Canadiens made the playoffs last year???
Chris Johnston@reporterchris
When asked what went wrong for the #leafs this season, Keith Pelley says "we didn't see the train coming" in reference to the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres.
English

@NathanGraviteh Man, if people don't see that Buffalo, Montreal, Ottawa and Detroit have been building a strong base, and the top teams are still tough, he can't do simple math!
English

@ProducerDrew_ @domluszczyszyn Going from one GM who builds teams from a past era to another? St-Louis is not a model I'd want to copy if I was Toronto. They had a good guy and they let Shanahan fire him before he got kicked out.
English

@reporterchris To be fair, only @JesseBlake from SDPN sees it. @Steve_Dangle and @AdamWylde are as blind as Pelley. ;)

English

@EricMacramalla They better not think about Jeff Gorton!
But knowing how Toronto always messes up, they'll hire Tie Domi as the new GM of Good Vibes
English

@scottcwheeler @TheAthletic @TheAthleticNHL I love your work, but I'm so happy my Canadiens are finally good enough that I'm not paying TOO much attention, they'll be drafting in the lower half finally.

@PatGuillet @DLCoulisses Let me put it this way, long term I'd rather have Xhekaj on the wing than Veleno.
English

Kirby Dach est sur la glace en équipement complet ce matin à Brossard et semble se rapprocher d’un retour au jeu.
Qui préférez-vous à l’attaque entre Kirby Dach et Arber Xhekaj ?
@DLCoulisses #GoHabsGo #Dach #NHL
Français

@PatGuillet @DLCoulisses This season, Dach. Over the summer, if Xhekaj doesn't get traded, he needs to work on converting to a winger because he has no future on this team as a defenceman. He'd have more value long term as a 4th line journeyman winger to wear down the D in the corner.
English

@EricMacramalla @davidckerr1 STL fans wanted him gone just a few months ago. This is year one.
We've seen Beck struggle at the NHL level so far, why do you say his struggle is a better option than Bolduc's? And Blais is delaying his eventual move to Switzerland let's be honest
English

@davidckerr1 I’m not sure about that. Mailloux getting better. Bolduc got worse.
English

@EricMacramalla I'd stick to this trade. A LOT of players struggle when coming here and figuring out what MSL is selling. STL style vs MTL is very different. Sign Bolduc another 2 years. He's got one of the best pure shots on the team.
Also, I'm very happy for Mailloux, great for him.
English

@_JordanDecker I think F Xhekaj will need another year in Laval based on this year's performance. I don't think that many guys are legitimately knocking on the door from Laval. Reinbacher and Engstrom should come up next year. Other than that... Hage will be here in a couple of weeks.
English

@EricEngels Player dev is so different. It feels like Bergevin's style was "We put some VHS tapes on the room on hockey skills, it's up to the players to figure it out"
Now we have real resources for these guys to work on stuff throughout the year, not just in summer
