For the record, I was not really on the slopes, and I did not apres ski all day. (Grok Imagine template ready) I did something even better! I spent the day getting these two precious rescues vetted for their forever homes! I would keep them, but they have a strong prey drive, and the cats are my #1 furbabies!

I don’t talk about my personal life much on here, but I wanted to share a BIG life update with you all! I got married back in August of 2024 and we decided to wait at least a year before having kids. Well, about a year and a half later, here we are with baby #1 on the way! We are very excited, but if I’m being completely honest, I’m also terrified. Being the one to go through the physical changes and the labor process has always seemed scary to me. And now that it’s a reality, I’m even more scared 😅 That being said - moms out there, I’d love some tips and tricks to help guide me through this pregnancy along the way 💕 We definitely have a lot to figure out when it comes to finances, so plans are going to have to change for a while. No more maxed out IRA, unfortunately 😅 I’ll keep grinding my best with what we have already accumulated in our brokerage accounts and IRAs, though! Finances aren’t everything, and this journey will be so worth the financial sacrifice 🥰

The views have been magnificent lately I’m stuck inside finishing up my bookkeeping for 2025 Grok is a huge help We just converted 3 word documents to excel files and formatted them Grok had me use =SUMIF formulas I feel even more confident I could run an energy auditing company with Grok’s help That’s a dream for another day The ultimate goal is to get outside more 💛

@OrahOnX The brown stuff will break your budget with all those kids in the house. 🤣😅 Haven’t researched it for a long time as to the price difference. I’ve already switched to brown coffee filters and brown parchment paper. But the price difference is almost non existent with those.

@MarsHomestead Oh wow. I didn't know all that. I am not a paper towel user. I use cotton cloths for that type of think and cloth napkins. I do use TP. but I guess I"ll have to try some brown tp now....lol

People under this post were mad about brown paper towels as one more thing to fear. 🤣 We should be big mad that everything is bleached with plastic added. Don’t even get me started about coffee filters. Seeing all the debate about bleached paper products got me thinking… This isn’t just about one item. It’s about what we’ve been trained to see as “clean.” For a long time, white meant sterile. Safe. Better. And honestly, that made sense for that generation. It solved real problems. But now we’re at a point where we should probably be asking a different question. Why does it have to be bleached at all? Brown paper can still be processed, clean, and safe without all of that extra treatment. The real issue is accessibility. Most families aren’t buying a 4-pack of anything. They’re buying the big packs. Paper towels, toilet paper, all of it. If the better option isn’t available in bulk and affordable, it’s not really an option. We don’t need perfection. We just need a shift. Make the simpler version normal again. Make it affordable. Make it available at scale. People will adapt faster than companies think.

Paper towels can contain BPA, chlorine and formaldehyde Be very careful exposing hot food to them I recommend drying hot food on a stainless steel wire rack, and using a good unbleached paper towel when possible The ones from Sprouts rate very highly on @oasishealthapp

@Xarina_CH The bloom of youth is beautiful and scary. 🤣 Pearl is getting there, and I notice those mood swings are getting more pronounced.

Having teenage daughters in the house is fun. Most of the time 😅 I don’t envy their hormonal rollercoasters. But entertaining to listen to. Live and learn! This is a flying horse btw. Happy Thursday!
