Can’t believe tomorrow is the last day of school.

@PicturesFoIder 25+50=75. That's what happens in my head! I notice right away one number has two more than a quarter in the ones place and one has two less than two quarters so I go from there with two friendly (money) numbers, 25 and 50. It's simple to do addition in increments of 25 .

How do you do it?

If you work in middle school, the answer is yes. One day I had a student ask me how many pairs of shoes I had. She then proceeded to go through the colors of espadrilles I had! Others chimed in to help her.
