Since the beginning of March Michkov has played 17 games, averages 15:31 TOI and played fewer than 15 minutes in 6 of those games.
He scored 1 of his 2 goals and 4 of his 10 assists in those 6 games.
So in 11 games playing 15 plus minutes he’s scored 1 goal and 6 assists.
This claim that guys aren’t getting minutes is nonsense.

@Anth_Chatburn Less than 14:10 in 5 of the last 6 games. While he’s been one of the highest points/60 on the team. In general his time has been fine since the Olympics, but not in this home stretch.

@Anth_Chatburn I’m not saying play the most. I don’t think he should be getting 20 mins a game. A consistent 15-17 is fine, especially with his post Olympics production. Danny basically admitted the young guys need more mins back in Dec/Jan whenever that Kings game was where MM had 10 mins.

He's 21 years old and having a disappointing year. He isn't the first and won't be the last to have a sophomore slump due to a confluence of factors. We all watched him be extremely impressive as a 20-year old rookie. That's rare, and it happened. Don't forget that.

Michkov undeniably had a bad game.
You can defend Michkov without going the "he's perfect & his struggles are all someone else's fault" route. It kills your credibility. But you can be critical of Michkov without "he stinks, bust, trade him." It kills YOUR credibility too.

If the Flyers game plan is to play the “grizzled” vets….yeah, that’s a problem. Both in-game and philosophy. Danny B needs to step up and tell them to fuck off. Maximize the roster or you risk losing everything. You can’t rely on vets this time of year. Playing with fire.

When should he have gotten more ice time?
Tocchet puts him out while NYI has the golaie pulled, he takes a bad penalty or gets burnt for the 'rally' goal and who are you blaming?
Its easy to hindsight more minutes, but in the moment where are you putting him in?
And hell he did take a bad penalty, right?
he had a great game and the story is TOI? Why?!
