NEW: Denmark reportedly prepared for a possible U.S. attack on Greenland. In January 2026, Danish soldiers were flown to Nuuk and Kangerlussuaq under Operation Arctic Endurance, carrying explosives and blood supplies, ready to defend the island if President Donald Trump attempted to seize it by force. Plans included destroying key runways to prevent U.S. aircraft from landing, ensuring that any attack would come at a high cost. The operation involved elite Danish units, including the Dragoon Regiment and Jægerkorps forces, alongside French alpine troops, with additional support offered by Germany, Norway, and Sweden. Sources emphasize that while European allies stood ready to assist, it was Denmark’s own planning and readiness that created the strongest deterrent, signaling clearly to the U.S. that Greenland would not be taken easily. The crisis escalated after the U.S. military operation in Venezuela on January 3, 2026, which made officials fear that Greenland could be next. Overnight, what had been a simmering concern became an urgent, all-hands-on-deck defense of the Kingdom, with Europe coordinating closely but leaving Denmark in the leading role. Sources describe the preparations as unprecedented since World War II. Soldiers were fully armed, deployed under the royal defense order, and ready for combat. F-35 fighter jets and naval assets were mobilized, while multiple European allies offered troops, air support, and naval presence. Operation Arctic Endurance was officially presented as a military exercise, but insiders stress there was nothing simulated about the readiness. Although President Trump later publicly ruled out military force, sources warn that the Greenland crisis is not over. Trump is here for three more years a high-ranking Danish source says. No matter what happens, the distrust and challenge to the Commonwealth will persist as long as he aims to go down in history by expanding U.S. territory. For French officials involved in the crisis, the past year under Trump has been a stark lesson: Europe must relearn the grammar of power and cannot assume that military support from the United States will always be available if Europe faces threats.

BREAKING: French President Emmanuel Macron and Danish PM Mette Frederiksen stress the urgent need for a strong, independent Europe, fully capable of defending itself without relying on the U.S. Speaking to DR, Macron highlighted that when the U.S. threatened Denmark over Greenland, France immediately offered troops to protect the territory: "You cannot threaten an ally and a European partner. And yes, we are ready to commit because it is Europe. The Greenland crisis revealed a harsh reality: Europe cannot rely on the U.S. for its own security. Macron stressed that the ongoing war in Iran has already drained U.S. missile stockpiles, limiting America’s ability to fully support its allies in Europe and Ukraine. "Too many countries are dependent on U.S. capabilities and presence" he warned. Europe must build stronger armies, a resilient industrial and innovative base, and the ability to produce advanced defense capabilities on its own soil." Frederiksen echoed Macron, saying that while Denmark remains transatlantic at heart, the world has changed: “The answer is Europe.” The Greenland moment, she added, showed that a united and independent Europe is essential politically, militarily, and diplomatically. The leaders also stressed energy and technological independence. Europe must reduce reliance on foreign oil and gas, control its tech infrastructure, and protect its democracies from external interference. Macron emphasized the importance of safeguarding young people online as part of this independence. Greenland was only the beginning. Between conflicts in Ukraine and Iran, dwindling U.S. support, and rising global pressures, Macron and Frederiksen argue that Europe must take its security and future into its own hands. The message is clear: Europe must be ready to act autonomously, defend its people, and safeguard its values without relying on anyone else. They cited the Greenland crisis in January as a pivotal wake-up call for European unity.

US and Israeli fighter jets are coming from this nations, the US are using their bases there. Those countries are shooting down Iranian responses to Israel, protecting Israel and the US. Those countries host American bases and accommodate them. Those countries support the war in private with Trump. Those countries allow their airspace to be used to attack Iran, and the Strait of Hormuz belongs 100% to Iran, the passage area is exclusively in Iranian territory. Is it so hard for you to understand, idiot?

@MemnonofRhodes @dubstandards @idreesali114 I think no matter the pushback against the US the world will eventually say Iran cannot hold the area hostage anymore like this and a coalition will be made. So many moving parts no one is fully correct in their predictions here. New grounds.

@MicroSBs @dubstandards @idreesali114 Yes it is extremely scary and I fear it will be the new norm. The depressing fact though is that this may at least alleviate the impending crisis the world is approaching. Ships need to start moving again and it almost doesn't matter how that happens.

@MemnonofRhodes @dubstandards @idreesali114 true but you dont see them doing it now. I think there is some behind the scenes pressure on them or they were bribed. Either way this is a dangerous game the worlds playing now and enabled by cheaper weapons. We are heading back to the time of economic military conflict.
