2/ Submitted: Per Minneapolis Police Department policy, officers could not pursue or engage this stolen U-Haul and instead monitored the situation from incoming calls, as it was an ongoing issue throughout the day. They also were not allowed to show up on scene while the teens were near the vehicle.

Submitted from NE Minneapolis: 8 Somali Teens Joyride in Stolen U-Haul Through NE Minneapolis – Police Hands Tied by Policy In a disturbing scene straight out of the ongoing chaos in Minneapolis, eight Somali teenagers took a stolen U-Haul truck with Arizona plates on a reckless spin through NE Minneapolis neighborhoods this evening. The truck was first spotted in the parking lot of A Chance to Grow school at 1800 2nd Street NE. Six of the teens climbed into the back cargo area while two took the driver and passenger seats. They pulled out and made a quick stop at the Hook & Ladder Apartments, then continued their erratic drive—swerving wildly across the road—to Edison High School. There, all eight exited the vehicle. One teen was seen vomiting on the boulevard, likely suffering from a concussion or severe motion sickness caused by the dangerous, out-of-control driving. Six of the juveniles then walked off toward the Central Ave Lofts at 920 24th Avenue NE, while the other two jumped back into the stolen U-Haul and drove away.

@MattWalshBlog Yes, this happened to us, too. And “federal regulations” prevented us from being able to get up and from being able to use the restroom while we waited. The federal aviation bureaucracy needs to be updated for some (any) customer experience and common sense.

It's now very common to sit on the tarmac for extended periods of time waiting to take off. I've grown accustomed to that. But several months ago I had a new experience: we pulled up to our gate and waited for an hour for someone to come and move the jet bridge so we could get off the plane. We had landed. We were at our gate. An hour sitting on the plane, parked at the gate, just waiting for an employee in the airport to come open the door. Dozens of people missed their flights because they couldn't find someone to open the door. How does that even happen? Who knows. This is the air travel experience now. They always find creative new ways to make it miserable for you.

Flight delayed on tarmac. Missed our connection. Based on the other flights available, which were also delayed, and the fact that taking a flight tomorrow would require getting back into a security line stretching seemingly for miles, we decided to get a car and drive five hours to our destination. That’s how bad air travel is right now. Driving is faster. Air travel is awful in this country. People don’t realize just how much it sucks unless they have to do it a lot. It’s not just TSA. Flight delays. Air traffic control issues. Service is even worse than usual. Every airport is crowded and slow and worn down and dirty. Everyone brings their dogs. The term “service animal” doesn’t mean anything anymore. Air travel used to be luxurious. People used to wear suits. Working for an airline was prestigious. The employees took it seriously. It sucks now. It’s terrible. This is the kind of thing our leaders should be fixing. Because the most frustrating thing is that it is so eminently fixable. If only anyone bothered to try.

Minneapolis Police Investigate Deadly Shooting Near Chicago and Franklin March 27, 2026 – Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara announced that an early morning shooting injured two men and killed another. Third Precinct Officers responded to a reported shooting near Chicago Avenue and Franklin Avenue East shortly after 12:30 a.m. on March 27, 2026. When they arrived, they found three men who had been shot. Officers immediately began providing lifesaving aid. Two men, one in his 40s and one in his 50s, were taken to Hennepin Healthcare by ambulance. A third man died at the scene. I use this appliance, can find them all over…silicone tongue retainer, or something of the like. It basically suctions your tongue and pulls it out so it doesn’t fall back in your throat. I drool a bit with it, takes getting used to, but my wife says it’s pretty much stopped my snoring and she gets pissed when I don’t wear it

Anyone have a magic hack to stop snoring? My husband does noes strips & mouth tape, we have white noise but still- he wakes me up, I shove ear plugs in, can still hear him & I start thinking about the all the other things I can do with the pillow…

My MIL went to the bank this week, had to cash like a $4k check related to girl scout cookie sales (she manages the entire troop’s sales/inventory). She was really nervous about getting questioned about the amount, the account info, the scout stuff, etc. Got to the bank in our MPLS suburb and all worries went away when a Somali ahead of her was depositing about 40 grand….in cash.

Many feel this way. I write a big check every April. In the past I considered it the cost of doing business in the greatest country on earth. Seeing Somali scammers driving Range Rovers changed the math for me.
