That original run of X-Men Unlimited was so good. Still have issues 2 & 3.

@MendezMovieRPT True, a critic's main responsibility is to be genuinely honest without bias, prescriptive when necessary with some attempt to influence perception & encourage engagement. Critics aren't trying to estimate or predict what the masses want or like, although they could if they want.

You guys realize audiences liking a movie more than we did doesn't make us feel we screwed up right? We aren't going to magically regret a bad review of a movie we genuinely didn't like.

@SarcasticNomad1 @Bestofsopranos I used to feel that way too, but it’s got kind of a cinematic feel to it, because of the sequences in the snowy woods, & it’s also one of the funnier episodes. Still not one of my favorites but I understand why people overrate it.

@Bestofsopranos I’m a huge Sopranos fan. The Pine Barrens episode is one of my least favorite episodes. It was a filler episode that didn’t really fit in to the overall series.

Some shows have one all-time episode. This one has three fighting for the crown.

@cosmicbooknews when i first saw Acolyte in "Suggested" for Maul i knew D+ was trying to manufacture an artificial boost. now of course they wont admit it, they'd say it shares similar themes, the master-apprentice angle... but we know better

Some sites are trying to spin The Acolyte as some kind of streaming comeback story because the canceled Star Wars series has popped back up on “FlixPatrol.” Don’t buy it. FlixPatrol might be useful for tracking what titles are showing up on streaming service “Top 10 charts”, but it does not report actual viewership. It does not tell you how many people watched The Acolyte, how many minutes were streamed, how many households tuned in, or how many viewers actually finished the series. That’s the difference. A show appearing on a Disney+ chart is not the same thing as a show becoming a hit.

@DarkMortimer Heck yeah, Cage Vs. Tooth, that’s a cool idea. Billy Ray could’ve been a good serial killer rival too but he got wasted sadly (deserved better)

@MoshTMA Same, although I do want to see the continuing joke of Sweet Tooth fighting other serial killers judt so they can bring in Cage. Even if he has to drive a military hummer.

Just saw the recent news that Mike Mitchell will not be back for Twisted Metal Season 3 & that the character Stu may not come back. Seriously? What a freaking unlucky franchise god damn

@totalfilm how many reminders do people need that being in disney+'s top 10 doesn't mean that much? the top 8 tend to be whatever is new and then the bottom 2 are random older titles bc there is a huge dropoff in numbers by that point in the ranking (and then there's the autoplay factor)

@DarkMortimer Yeah I hope so too. I had assumed Stu would part time take over the Sweet Tooth vehicle (since ST made him his son) but guess not. I’m hoping a Warthog type enters the picture in S3; not that I’m the biggest WH fan, but TM feels more complete with that character type in there

@BDisgusting @DEADLINE I am not looking forward to the negative reactions it will get, it's become a fandom of malcontents. Season 1 was okay for fans of Fargo though, it's got that similar tone. I thought Timothy Olyphant was good in it along with the cyborg guy. But the Xenos didn't look good enough

i made new wrestlers; Sugar and Spice from Batman Forever. I like how they came out. They (with Two-Face, who i half-made) will be wrestling Query and Echo with Riddler. Not sure who will win.

@AsgerBugge it's Christina Hodson (not Hudson) but yeah, The Flash and Birds of Prey were... messy, colorful failures of epic proportions. i do like the idea of Brave and the Bold though, maybe they can redeem themselves.

There are actually people out there excited for a Batman movie directed by Andy Muschetti and written by Christina Hudson To maintain my sanity I must just think you hate the character if this is something you think sounds good

@emkenobi yea it's a step down but we don't need to continue overrating Season 1, do we? If it's so great how come more don't rewatch it or talk about what their favorite chapter was? don't get me wrong, it was indeed good, but people talk about S1 like it were Revenge of the Sith nowadays

Why did they abandon the beautiful cinematography from season 1?

@BatmanRouges Originally a minor villain that was made when DC wanted more female villains bc TV Catwoman got popular, but the combo of her ’88 Secret Origins tale & 90s BTAS turned it around for her & then she became an icon; but they always change it up with the old villains.

Genuinely hate how in recent years she has devolved into an anti-hero/general DC character both in comics and adaptations because in terms of quality and character she is lowkey top 5 Bat-rogues of all time

@RetroMoviesDB another one as bad or worse as the TMNT one was the underwater level Storm had in Spider-Man & the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge. Also, Earthworm Jim had a terrible underwater level too despite being a beloved game.
