中国能唯一找到贱民的遗存就是疍民了，世代耕海为生，不在陆地上置业。疍家人由于没有田地，以水为生，形成了一些有别于陆上社会的习俗，在旧时也因此受到陆居族群的排斥与歧视，清朝雍正以前被当作贱民。包包2000年在福州搞的苍霞棚区改造就是曾经疍民上岸安置的吊脚楼棚屋。

Living in China ruined things for me — no other country has really competed. Here are two of them: 1. 🚅 Public transport In major cities, trains every 2–7 minutes, almost always on time, with multiple lines across the city that make sense. In Melbourne, you have to go into the city just to change lines and go back out again 😂. Intercity rail is even better — up to 350km trains between most major cities. Flights are overrated, if not redundant. 2. 🛵 Deliveries Anything you want, delivered basically any time of day or night. This is the true killer, the amazing feeling of getting 羊肉串 (spicy lamb sticks) delivered at 1am (not for my weight 🫠). Delivery fees are often 5 yuan or free with offers. In Australia, you can easily pay $10 just for delivery alone. I remember we bought something in the morning on 淘宝 (Taobao — online shopping) and it arrived in the afternoon 😐. In Australia, you're lucky to get it the same week haha. After a while, you take it for granted… until you leave. Thanks China 🇨🇳 Also… I hate you ♥️
