I’m not a huge fan of giving NTC to non superstars. No offense at all to Nico I just don’t think it makes a whole lot of sense but it is what it is

@SamOlbur Honestly, don’t mind this one as much as the other NTC that Jed has given out in the past. Nico’s game will age really well imo, still funny nonetheless

@dontknowball167 @CubsZone Can’t stand no trade clauses for anyone. Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love Nico! So pumped he’s signed on for 6. I’ll always think no trade clauses are for GMs that can’t negotiate

It's very difficult to pin it on anything specific, too. Inconsistency during the year? Well that's literally everyone. Because, by the end of the year, Ian Happ is consistently 15-20% better than league average at the plate (which is well above average for LF), & plays great D.

@Brett_A_Taylor That should happen but he needs to move down quite a bit. I don’t want to see him in 4-6 either. Hopefully common sense prevails.

For the time being, yes, the Cubs should keep batting Ian Happ third in the lineup.
But I also don't think that's where he'll end up by the end of the year.
