These groups are taking the law into their own hands, acting as self-appointed police and immigration authorities, and normalising mob and streets justice. They seek to divert attention from a deepening systemic crisis: a polycrisis driven by mass unemployment, poverty, inequality, housing shortages, and collapsing public services by scapegoating migrants. In doing so, they protect the very system responsible for the suffering of the working class and the poor. Notably, these formations never mobilise against the real sources of the crisis: •structural unemployment and deindustrialisation, •entrenched inequality and poverty, •the housing emergency, •the breakdown of education and healthcare, or •global imperialism and ongoing genocidal violence. Instead, they align themselves with reactionary forces internationally openly supporting figures like Donald Trump, defending Zionist Israel, and even backing the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara. This is not accidental. It reflects a coherent right-wing project that thrives on division, fear, and misinformation. The response must be equally deliberate: building a broad, militant, working-class front that rejects xenophobia, confronts inequality, and fights for a just and humane society rooted in solidarity - not scapegoating.
