I will always say what my favorite Batman story is when given the chance. Incredibly poignant writing and performances. Conroy never did a better job conveying such raw emotion, internal conflict, and pathos. A true masterpiece that deftly handles mental health and self-doubt.

@flying_trooper @Batman_Beware Origins is straight-up bad in general. The level and world design is as a bottom of the barrel for a AAA game. I guess having the blueprint of the previous 2 games somehow hurt them. Joker is awful throughout, Bane ends up bungled as well, and more issues x.com/MusingBob/stat…

@Jay_to_the_kob @BatmanRouges I outright hate AO Joker from start to finish & the Red Hood walking section is especially egregious with the pompous, hollow dialogue that's like it was AI-generated using Killing Joke as the main reference. AO generally plays & looks like it could've been an AI-generated game.

@MichSciFiYT In practice/execution, City is blissfully unconcerned with basic storytelling & I think crosses the line into an outright deceitful piece of media. That wasn't Rocksteady's intent, but holy fuck, did the story team of Paul Dini, Paul Crocker, & Sefton Hill not bring this together

@squarednation_ @AlCJ200228 Oh yeah. Actual thematic depth with deliberately crafted narrative design to fit a true open-world game (the only one of the series as well). It had the largest and most unwieldy traits yet coheres indescribably better than the hodge-podge of City and Origins.

Its not terrible but its just a lesser version of other Batman stories. For me its Arkham Knight humself. Could've been an entirely new character instead of watered down Red Hood

I thought maybe they could've at least put in a random dialogue line in the stealth encounter of Jason saying, "I know you didn't kill him. You would never have it in you, even after he brutalizes one of us."

@Kadenisagoober @ParkerMan1962 @Gokubla32516294 Jason's issue with Batman isnt as simple as him failing to save him. Its that from his perspective Batman cared more about his mission than him which is why he quickly replaced him and left him to die rather than abandoning the mission to save him.
