I think he’s issued you a challenge. Show the president and the people of Texas that you can do the job you currently have before you ask us not to give your job to Paxton. Look, get with Thune and bring the Save America Act to the floor for debate. Let the Democrats filibuster for a week, a month, or even two and then hold a simple up or down majority vote. If you can’t, get that done change the rules. If you can’t do that replace the leader. If you want another chance to represent Texas you need to show us you can get something done.
