@JJunkWarrior If its about RE4R. Parrying takes time to get used to. The enemies are faster now to compensate for your movement while aiming. Certain weapons arent the meta anymore. Shooting knees or parrying is your best chance for staggering enemies compared to headshots.

@DeanGagaKennedy Idk if it would sell as well as RE4R then. Id like to see RE2R lifetime sales for a CV remake cause I love claire id like capcom to realize people miss her in mainline games.

If Code Veronica doesn't sell as much as RE4R did it will expose a lot of RE2R fans as being Fake AF, because it's literally the straight forward continuation of that Game.

@ValyrianFPS I wish we had that. Id love to platinum the 3 original games. Im addicted to that little trophy 🏆 pop up on my favorite games.

I would have loved if they did a remaster of the first 3 games with added Trophy / Achievement support. Seemed like the perfect time for it.

@flatwifetheory Laser sights should always be an option as a toggle. It looks so clean and resident evil feeling as opposed to the generic white reticle on screen.

There's so much that other people mentioned so I'll say one I haven't seen: No laser sight except for an attachment only compatible with a couple handguns. Totally soulless.

@DeanGagaKennedy As an RE4 fanboy I can immediately see village is basically using RE4s skeleton's structure and attempting its own spin.

Only RE4 fans will look you straight in the face and tell you a game that centers around rescuing a daughter, Has a merchant a Cult and main villain is a cult leader, multiple similar locations is nothing like RE4 😂

@JJunkWarrior I could go on. Its obvious village takes RE4s DNA and tries to make it its own.

@JJunkWarrior 1/2 Both games have a white blonde hair protagonist have a previous RE that need to rescue a girl from a cult in Europe. Both have merchants to upgrade and buy weapons. Both start in a village. Both fight a sea creature, Both fight in a castle. Both fight in an industrial area.

@JJunkWarrior 2/2 both games involve main character discovering they are infected and need to achieve their goal despite infection, both involve taking each individual lower cult leader b4 fighting the main cult leader. Both start with initial horde of villagers attacking the protagonist etc.

@DarkEnzo0309 Gameplay wise yes. Soundtrack? Dark Ages takes the cake for that.

Is it just me... or do I think 2016 is the weakest of the trilogy?

@capcomhazard @LavenderGhast I liked the village and island in the remake more but yeah the castle lost its unique design I cant exactly describe.

@LavenderGhast my main problem with the re4 remake is how inferior the castle was in level design and design in general and the cut rooms and set pieces made it much shorter , thats why i give the remake an 8/10 compared to the 10/10 og.

Shift in tone. This goes for the whole series, it always had some sense of humour about itself to break up the horror elements but that's been slowly bleeding out of the series as they aim for a more purely serious tone and it's taken some of the unique flavour from the series.
