Here is the current #Drought status in the Southwest region. NM remains almost entirely in drought and conditions are expected to persist for at least the next several weeks.

This week's precip forecast by @NOAA's @NWSWPC Much of the Mississippi River Basin and Plains are expected to get inches of rain this week. Wet for the Northwest Coast and Rockies too. CA, the Southwest, part of the Southern Plains, and the Southeast look dry. #drought @NWS

Next week looks generally warm and wet for the Lower 48, with the greatest chances for above-normal precip chances in CA/NV and the Central US, per @NOAA’s @NWSCPC. Part of the Southeast and HI lean drier, with the Northeast and HI looking cooler. drought.gov/forecasts @NWS

This week's precip forecast by @NOAA's @NWSWPC Storms are expected across parts of the Rockies into the Northern/Central Plains and Midwest, dropping inches of precip in areas. Also TX and OK into the South. Mostly dry for the rest of the West and FL. #drought @NWS

Southern Plains set a new drought duration record lasting 406 weeks beginning on 2016-06-28 and ongoing. This video shows it was not been one drought, but a series of droughts that have come and gone in different parts of the region.
