We are ready for a ceasefire where we currently stand. This is a strong compromise position, aimed at moving toward a diplomatic solution. Right now, Russia is once again telling the American side new timelines for achieving its objectives on the front line. I am surprised how anyone can believe this. The Russians are saying they will capture Donbas within two months. And therefore, Ukraine supposedly has two months to withdraw, and then the war will end. But if Ukraine does not withdraw within two months, then Russia will seize Donbas – and after that, there will be other terms. The logical question is: if their goal is only Donbas, why do they say they will go further and the terms will be different? So the issue is, after all, not only about Donbas. Their objectives are clear to us. They will not be able to capture anything within two months, and they understand this perfectly well. They are applying pressure. I spoke with President of Finland @AlexStubb. It is important that all of us in Europe coordinate in a substantive way. That is exactly what we are doing with Alex. I briefed him on the meetings and negotiations in the Middle East and the Gulf region that I had in recent days. There are already strategic agreements in place, and our contribution to security and stabilization can be significant. Alex also shared his own updates. Security comes first, and right now, when the world is so destabilized, not a single day can be wasted – we need joint actions and joint results. We are preparing communication formats with other European leaders. We also continue to focus consistently on efforts on the American track. Of course, we also discussed the drone incident that recently took place on Finnish territory. Alex and I see the situation in the same way. We are sharing all necessary information. Thank you!

When I travel outside of Ukraine, I get daily intelligence updates online. This morning, I was briefed that U.S. military facilities in the Middle East and the Gulf region were photographed by Russian satellites in the interests of Iran. On March 24th, they imaged the U.S.–UK joint military facility on Diego Garcia located in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. They also captured pictures of Kuwait International Airport and parts of the infrastructure of the Greater Burgan oil field. On March 25th, they took pictures of the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The Shaybah oil and gas field in Saudi Arabia, İncirlik Air Base in Türkiye, and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar were all imaged on March 26th. There are no Ukrainian facilities on this list. But who is helping whom when sanctions are lifted from an aggressor that earns daily revenue and provides intelligence for strikes against American, Middle Eastern, UK, and U.S.–UK bases and so on? When surveillance is carried out over facilities in Ukraine, we always understand that they must be protected, since plans are in motion to destroy them – energy and water infrastructure, military facilities, and so on. Everyone knows that repeated reconnaissance indicates preparations for strikes. How can sanctions be eased if this is what the Russians are doing? There must be pressure on the aggressor. And lifting sanctions is certainly not pressure. It looks strange. Sanctions are being lifted, while the aggressor is providing intelligence to strike facilities, including those of the countries that are discussing or have already lifted sanctions. SECRETARY RUBIO: What President Zelenskyy was told very clearly, and he should have understood it, was that security guarantees are not going to kick in until there’s an end to the war. The role we have played is to try to figure out what both sides want and see if we can bridge the middle ground. Thank you to @Keir_Starmer and the United Kingdom for tightening the grip on Russia's shadow fleet. Allowing British law enforcement to stop and detain sanctioned vessels is a timely move, particularly now, when global pressure on Russia is quietly loosening. It is hardly a secret that Russia funnels illegal oil revenues directly into its war machine. Anything that cuts off that flow brings peace closer and makes Europe safer. Sanctioned tankers must be stopped, their oil seized. I thank JEF countries for their willingness to jointly inspect these vessels – and urge other European partners to follow.
