@CharlesFarina @Jenn_Kunz The first_visit as calculated on the client side has these inconsistencies...😔 I think the total users metric is identifying the user well and eliminates repeated events if you add new users you will see that it matches event count 🤦‍♂️

@Jenn_Kunz Is your calculation based on the sum of the file sizes for the different martech vendors divided by the sum of all resources for a given page? or perhaps calculating weight as a function of load time?

@CharlesFarina Important find - thank you @CharlesFarina! Have you seen the same happen with high-cardinality product-related dimensions (item_name, item_id, etc...)?

In GA3, cardinality generally only occurred if you pulled a report where the dimensions you used had more than 50,000 unique names. In GA4, it works very differently. If you have dimensions with lots of unique values, it can cause EVERY dimension to be aggregated.

When implementing Google Analytics 4, you'll want to avoid cardinality at all costs. What is cardinality and why should you care?

@frederikwerner @oarsi I have my doubts too. I was looking at a particular page that was showing 500 clicks in search console. Same page was showing ~ 100 page views in the analytics tool and only ~120 hits in the server side logs. I have no explanation why console over-reports ~400 clicks

Every time I use the Google Search Console I'm baffled by how bad and broken it is. How can anyone accept this as an analytics tool?
