You can’t “avoid” doing something stupid…. When you do something stupid, it happens because you weren’t thinking. I know no one’s gonna buy this, but part of what I thought made the remark slightly amusing was the fact that I’m nowhere NEAR important enough to have a Ted Turner story because he’s so incredibly far outside of my league. That was literally the point. Maybe the drawing threw it off, maybe the wording or, more likely, it’s just me being tone deaf to the situation. Regardless, anyone who’s read more than one post by me should be able to tell that I’d never intentionally say anything I thought anyone would find “hurtful.” The main reason I’m on social media at all is to help the next generation of animators. That’s it.

I humbly apologize. One thing about me that I’ve never been able to fully come to terms with is the notion that I can’t possibly comprehend why anyone would care what I have to think, so I’ll just say something without thinking. That was the case with Ted Turner’s passing. Since I usually have something to say about everything, I thought it was unusual that I didn’t have anything particularly interesting to say about it, so I just said that I didn’t have anything to say. Which was flippant and pointless. Turner’s impact on the world of media is undeniable and profound. Suffice it to say, I did not intend to offend anyone, and - again - I apologize genuinely. @ima_1966 I'm just not a big fan of on-rails gameplay, but I'd love to freely explore Coneria and the other planets and even leave the cockpit to do some on-foot exploration. Like Star Fox Adventures, but they could also bring back the chickenwalker from 2/Zero!

@ima_1966 According to rumors, this is only the first of two Star Fox games reportedly in production for Switch 2! If true, I hope the next game is an ambitious open world more akin to what Ubisoft's Starlink did, which also used the Star Fox IP.

COMING SOON TO A CONVENTION NEAR YOU!(?) A Thread 🧵 by “F” A little over 20 years I attended the #SanDiegoComiCon to promote “Yin! Yang! Yo!” on #Disney’s dime. It was easily the most fun I’ve ever had at a convention… and that’s saying a lot, because ComiCon had always been like my yearly “trip to the Bahamas” vacation. In my mind, I’d scored my touchdown, spiked the ball and did my little touchdown dance. I declared myself “done” with conventions. That all changed this past week. Having received “an offer I couldn’t refuse” to be a guest artist at the Palermo ComiCon in Sicily (I’ll be profoundly disappointed if no one gets that joke) I am officially back on the scene. Days after agreeing to PCC, I got approached by a booking agency to make appearances. The main reasons I’m “un-retiring” are that my daughter is older now and my demands are lessened and also to promote the slow but significant growth of @Fpencartoons (see replies). So… if this news interests you at all, contact your local conventions and mention my name. If anyone’s interested, they can DM me here and I’ll put them in contact with my agency. I’m sort of assuming no one will be interested and this “announcement” won’t result amount to anything, but people have inquired about it over the years so I thought I’d mention it. I must confess, I absolutely hate traveling, but having gotten a taste of the genuine love from you guys via social media, I would welcome the opportunity to see you in person. 😊 Let’s see what happens! @LonelyGoomba @Shamaboy11 The graphics in this game are so rudimentary with basic, untextured polygons, I feel like you could probably get the game working on an SNES cartridge using the same chip as the original Star Fox. I'd actually love to see a modder try that.

@Shamaboy11 Interesting. I found the game unplayable. The controls mixed in with the weird music and that sound that plays when enemies are nearby. Just a complete overload of shit. Made me feel physically ill

The DIDDY KONG RACING hovercraft vehicle originally looked more like an old inner tube, with a patched up puncture on the side. 😃 But you couldn’t really see it rotate easily when it was moving so I added the ‘ridged’ segments to it and made it two tone, so that it looked more like the kind of thing that a kid would buy at the sea side to float around in. 😃 This is a sheet of the Nurbs model to that original design. 🤔 Did you know that the propellor on the aeroplanes, and fan in the back of the hovercraft and the cute red wheels on the cars were 2D ‘sprite’ objects which changed depending on what the camera angle was hat, and how the vehicle was rotated to create the illusion of a 3D object? 😃 It worked really well and saved us having to draw so many triangles, giving us a better frame rate! 🤓 #gamedev #diddykongracing #3DModelling #nintendo64 #retrogaming

@FountainCartoon @NotTheTimCurry Tim Curry is amazing! Some of his other roles include Professor Calamitus, a Jimmy Neutron villain, and Auntie Whispers in Over the Garden Wall. I really respect when big-name, on-screen actors like him and Mark Hamill don't snub their nose at voice acting as a "lesser art."

Happy 80th Birthday to the great @NotTheTimCurry Nigel Thornberry was quietly one of the most entertainingly eccentric but marvelously nuanced characters in animation history, and a lot of that was thanks to the characterization brought by the unmistakable Tim Curry. The tenderness and understanding he brought - especially with the special bond he had with Eliza - was something unmatched by any TV dad since. Passionate… fun… driven and, most importantly, BRILLIANT - he proved that a TV dad can be funny without being an imbecile. Nigel was an absolute nightmare to draw and yet you truly wouldn’t want him any other way. Below and in replies are some of my favorite drawings of him.

@LonelyGoomba Unless Nintendo has plans to redesign Baby Bowser to look more distinct, like he did in the original Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story, I'd be fine with them just completely axing the character, tbh.

@LonelyGoomba Is this the first Yoshi game to have Bowser Jr.? I can't help but wonder if Nintendo is going to do away with Baby Bowser. He just feels redundant at this point. They literally made them identical, except for Jr. having a cooler bib.

@__RiseAgain__ I think it was just a coincidence that the voice actress who was cast for Toph happened to be blind. She's very talented and has a strong history with Nickelodeon, such as voicing Trixie Tang in Fairly OddParents. I hope no one harasses her over it--it's not her fault.

Usually when I think about helping others I think about the starving, the homeless… Nickelodeon was so concerned about helping minority voice actors that they trashed their original Avatar cast that fans adored so they could brag about hiring a blind person to voice a blind person.

Nickelodeon apparently fired the original Avatar voice actors for not being a minority. No wonder why everyone thinks the new movie that hilariously got leaked is garbage!
