Have seen some friends hesitate to accept promotion for the same reason. Once you cross the 50LPA mark, you have to pay additional 10% surcharge on top of 31.2% tax you're already paying. So, basically whatever increase in salary due to promotion, most of it will go to Govt as tax, then obviously why would you take more burden at work just to sponsor freebies.

Thats what I have been saying for a year…now I stopped caring about Imax in Hyd…. By the end of 2025 or summer 2026, we will have over 10+ flat screens, and a Dolby Cinema coming up looks like thats…even bigger than the one in Pune. Epiq is expanding too..hdr venues on the line…Lots of good stuff ahead… we just need more flat format films, anddd even the makers are catching on to the trend.

ASTRA geolocated the drone strikes in Izhevsk and concluded that “Kupol” was targeted. The site features a distinctive tall smokestack visible in several videos. The plant is located near the river embankment. The videos also show a high-rise building with brown panels — identified as 7A, 30 Let Pobedy Street — just one block away from “Kupol.” The Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant “Kupol” is one of Russia’s largest defense industry enterprises, founded in 1957. It manufactures the Tor-M2E surface-to-air missile system, as well as the Saman-M1 and Adjutant training complexes, and provides maintenance services, plant director Fanil Ziyatdinov said in a 2023 interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Following the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in July 2023, Reuters reported that the plant began producing Harpyia-A1 strike drones using Chinese engines and components. On December 16, 2022, “Kupol” was added to the EU sanctions list for “supporting actions that undermine or threaten Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence,” specifically for supplying weapons to the Russian Armed Forces used in the attack on Ukraine.
