Nowruz Mubarak to all the Iranian Americans who call New York City home! It was an honor to celebrate Charshanbeh Soori with so many of you in anticipation of spring, renewal, and - now especially - the enduring hope of a new day for the Iranian people. 
Nowruz is typically a time of good feeling, but this year is different. I continue to stand in opposition to this war, and I wish as many moments of joy as possible for all Iranians observing this special holiday.

متاسفانه چند روز پیش پدر بزرگ من تو حمله خیابان زرافشان جاوید نام شد. تارگت این حمله #غلامرضا_سلیمانی جلسه محرمانه ای توی بانک صادرات با سپر انسانی برگزار کرده بود. دلیل اینکه پدربزرگ من مجبور شد از خانه خارج بشه و حضوری به بانک بره قطعی اینترنت بود. قاتل او فقط ‌و فقط ج ا است.

The NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, BBC, CBS 60 Minutes, etc. all make it sound like the war against the Islamic regime of Iran is floundering, at best, or is a failure, at worst. This is so wrong that I'm gobsmacked that the media has misled so many people. Here's the facts: As of this morning, U.S. and Israel have completely decapitated the Islamic regime (see image below). Its navy sits on the bottom of the sea with over a 100 ships sunk. It is no longer able to fire more than 1-2 ballistic missiles per day, and soon it will be zero. The Basijii thugs who slaughtered 1000s of innocent Iranians two months ago are themselves being wiped out and are running away at the faintest sound of a drone (these are hilarious videos). Islamic regime foreign diplomats are requesting asylum in mutiple countries. There are reports of regime troops refusing to show up for duty in Iran. The war is succeeding in the goals of its phases. It will ultimately remove the greatest source of global terrorism and an imminent nuclear threat to all Western countries, including the U.S. and Israel. What comes next? Hopefully something better. The future is never 100% certain. But the Allies had no idea in WW2 what would come next after the surrender of the Nazis and Imperial Japan, and today these countries are some of the closest allies of the U.S. There are significant signs from the Shah and Iranians themselves that they could do the same. Let us hope, but whatever happens, the elimination of the 47-year holy war against the West is a good thing. And just about anything is better than a nuclear-armed religious regime that explicitly seeks an apocalypse with the U.S. and Israel.

چرا پادشاهی‌خواهی به #حقوقدان_ملی نیاز دارد، نه کارگزار بین‌الملل؟ ۱/ تفاوت بنیادین میان نخبگان ملی گرا و تیم‌هایی نظیر آنچه پیرامون #لیلا_بهمنی شکل گرفته، در تعریف غایت قانون است. حقوقدان بین‌الملل‌گرا، ایران را یک پروژه حقوق‌بشری در خلأ می‌بیند که باید با نُرم‌های جهانی تطبیق یابد؛ اما حقوقدان ملی‌گرا، قانون را سپر بلای میهن می‌داند. ۲/ در دوران گذار، ما به #عدالت_ترمیمی که دست‌وبال حاکمیت را در برابر اشغالگران و تجزیه‌طلبان می‌بندد، نیاز نداریم. نیاز مبرم ما، #حقوق_اضطرار_ملی است. حقوقدانی که اولویتش خوشامد سازمان‌های بین‌المللی باشد، آگاهانه یا ناآگاهانه، راه را برای خلاء قدرت و بی‌کیفرمانی خائنین هموار می‌کند. ۳/ مشروعیت پادشاهی از قراردادهای جهانی نمی‌آید، بلکه از اراده‌ی ملی برای بقا می‌آید. سپردن تدوین مقررات به کسانی که جهان‌بینی‌شان با #حقوق_فراملی گره خورده، یعنی پذیرش نوعی #قیمومت_حقوقی. ملی‌گرایی یعنی حق انحصاری ملت ایران برای مجازات اشغالگران، بدون لکنت در برابر استانداردهای دوگانه‌ی برون‌مرزی. ۴/ ما به دنبال صعود مقتدرانه هستیم. حقوقدان ملی، نگهبان اقتدار دولت است تا ثبات را برقرار کند؛ در حالی که حقوقدان پروژه-محور، با تئوریزه‌کردن مفاهیم انتزاعی، لنگر ثبات را می‌کشد. برای بازپس‌گیری ایران، به حقوقدان سرباز نیاز داریم، نه به اساتیدی که میان جنایت علیه امنیت ملی و حق مدنی اشغالگر تردید می‌کنند.

انسان‌ها قابل تغییرند، اما #تاریخ قابل پاک شدن نیست. کسی که آجر اول عدلیه‌ی نوین ایران را فرو ریخت، امروز نمی‌تواند مدعی ساختن عدالت باشد. دموکراسی به معنای پذیرش توبه در حوزه‌ی خصوصی است، نه واگذاری اتاق فرمان ملی به کسانی که نابلدی‌شان ثابت شده است. برای عبور از اشغالگر، به #نخبگان_سفید نیاز داریم، نه به کسانی که برای نجات خود، به دنبال سهم‌خواهی در فردای براندازی هستند.

من سالیان پیش در آفریقای جنوبی زندگی کردم. همیشه در مورد اینکه چرا برعکس دو کشور همسایه زیمباوه و آنگولا, آفریقای جنوبی هیچوقت روی صلح و آرامش را ندید با مردم حرف میزدم و تمامشون یک جواب داشتند, چیزی که بشما نمیگویند اینست که کاری که نلسون ماندلا در آفریقای جنوبی کرد اشتباهی بود که ملت آفریقای جنوبی هیچوقت با ان کنار نیامد. تجربه نلسون ماندلا که چپ جهانی از ان به عنوان تجربه ای زیبا یاد میکند برای ملت افریقا جنوبی یک شکست عظیم و جبران ناپذیر بود. اینه یک گروه خاص دهه ها خون ملتی را در شیشه کند و بعد بیایند و از آنها بخواهند که فراموش کنند برای آنها عین بی عدالتی بود که آفریقای جنوبی را درگیر خشونتی کرد که هنوز هم بعد از دهه ها گریبانگیرش است.
